A facebook friend of mine is working at Interlocken and just posted his job description:
My
official title is "Activities & On-Site Sponsor Implementation
Director" ~ kind of an everything AND the kitchen sink position....
Activities (non-Main Stage) include Yoga-Lockn' classes, Youngin's
Lockn' Programming & Green Lockn' workshops in the AM & an
unannounced short & sweet late night set (Jorma? Jeff Sipe
Trio? Indecision? others on the radar.... ) at the Triangle Campfire
Stage.... there's also another Campfire Stage on site as well &
there will be a late night set Thu/Fri/Sat on that one as well....
Other Lockn' Activities we're pushing are Disc Golf Lockn': a 6 hole
disc golf course, Dish Lockn': a Dish Network Sports Lounge tent
showing NCAA & NFL football, Cinema Lockn': Silent Cinema showing
(among other things.... ) the movie Congo about Extreme Kayaker Steve
Fisher's kayaking the Nile.... the ENTIRE Nile.... Steve will be
introducing the flick on Thursday PM, as well as guiding SUP "Floating"
Yoga Lockn' sessions on a pretty pond on the property (limited in Scope
of participation to 25 each AM); On the Water Lockn': Shuttle Runs
sponsored by James River Runners & James River Float Company to
sweet swimming spots on Nelson County's own State Scenic Tye River,
leaving from our most gracious neighbors beautiful property at the
Trinity Episcopal Church, who are also allowing the Sober Locken group
to have recovery meetings there.... Proceeds from the Water Lockn'
shuttles are going towards some of church's good charity works (and they
ARE really good, too....). Pedal Lockn': Mountain Biking trail rides
guided by Cycling Pro's Aaron Chase and Alex Forte (limited in
participation - bring your bikes!), Lounge Lockn': Extreme Hammock
pods placed in cool spots (like the Triangle!).... others too.... this
is a big, phat rotunderous undertaking, this 1st Lockn' Festival.... the
site is as pretty as VA gets.... great line up.... amazing (if
beleaguered right now) staff.... this is gonna be the real deal....
