Dusty Hill had a nasty slip and fall inside their tour bus injuring his hip. The remainder of their tour co-headlining with Jeff Beck has been canceled.
Hey Jeff, come to Lockn, I'm sure there are quite a few bands that would let you sit in with them

I went to a concert in 1973, Deep Purple was the headliner. Opening act of the day was ZZ Top. They were unknown and not even given billing on the ticket. The venue was a speedway with single lane access road. Traffic getting there was backed up when a limo drove past us on the grassy swale. We dropped in right behind the limo and had opportunity to get out of our car and approach the limo when traffic came to a standstill. They passed us a few band decal stickers out of the car window and we continued to follow them right up to the gates where they waived our car in with the band. They were as excited as we were.
