Hey guys, me again. Wondering about very small generators? I have a really small and quiet Yamaha generator that runs off of gasoline. I'm sure that it would make it through the first 2 days without needing a refill, BUT probably no longer than that. Will they allow me to bring a small container of gasoline? Small as in about 1.5 gallons? Thanks for any help/advice guys! CANNOT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!!!

Are you in Preferred Tent Camp, by chance? Curious to know why a generator is even necessary at a music fest, when everyone is in the venue most hours.... Have you read the prohibited items list on the website? Good place to start....

I'm in Forest Camping. Basically wanna bring the generator in for things like a fan, phone charger, somewhere to plug in some small speakers for campside jam sesh's. Also figured it would be nice to have especially for charging anything VS having to stand in line or stay at a charge station. Figured plenty of people around the campsite would benefit from it too! Yeah I've read the prohibited items list, only says "no charcoal or containers with additional fuel, accelerants, or large amounts of propane". However the gasoline would already be in the genny, and maybe a liter or liter and a half extra would be needed. I know it seems a little weird, but camping with that little thing is like heaven on earth. Thanks for the reply!!Are you in Preferred Tent Camp, by chance? Didn't they say last year that gens were prohibited unless integrated in your RV?

Alright alright guys, you all have convinced me. Leaving the genny at home and not even going to worry about it!! Suebhunny, easy trip to Walmart to pick up all those things? Thanks for all the feedback! One more question...what about a propane run lantern? The globe on it is glass....

And the propane lantern might be ok depending on how much glass you're talking about. The small Coleman canisters are allowed. Though I do love my rechargeable plastic LED lantern, which did come from Wal-Mart. :-)

Thanks again! My latern is definitely the small Coleman variety! Im so pumped about the festival! This is my first festival (if you can't tell haha) of many more to come! Loving the vibes just coming off the boards, cant even fathom the atmosphere once we are all there!!!

Last year I did bring my generator and an extra gas can full of fuel. I was towing my camper and it was in the back of the truck in plain sight. Glad I had it, since there power kept going off. I figured if they said anything about the gas can at the gate, I would just poor the gas in my truck. I do have a honda inverter generator that is super quiet. Nobody ever heard it run.

i popped my cherry at 'roo in '12, and didnt know to bring an ez up. me and the girl were at each other's throats, baking in that mid june tenn sun. but no matter what goes wrong at a festival, it's still a magical place to beMan, you picked a huge one to bust your cherry on! Good luck!
