I'm from Western NY, near Rochester. Can't wait to get up there! we are rolling out around midnight on Weds so we have some time Thurs to check out the resort before we head down for music...Celebrating our 20th anniversary at Lockn' ! looking forward to meeting some great new people too

I stayed in Wintergreen last year. It's beautiful, especially if you have one of the condos with a view. If you're not racing to the festival each day, spending the morning or mid day at the pool is great.
If it's like last year, the resort is mostly empty and you may rarely see other guests, depending on what unit you're in. It appears that the bulk of the units must be timeshares. So while the resort is sold-out for Lock'n packages, the majority of the units must not be made available for those packages.
We opted to stay at the festival this year (RV) due to wanting to be there for the late night stuff this time and because the bus shuttle is about a 40 minute ride each way, which adds up over 4 days.
But the one bedroom condo we were in last year was so nice and decked out.

Hi Genesee Ted...we're from South Bristol!
awesome..we're from LeRoy..I used to do a lot of Mountain Biking over your way at OCP
thanks for the info dingus! fortunately they changed the shuttle schedule to accommodate the late night sets this year. I was worried when I saw how good they were, but they'll be running a shuttle this year at 2:30am (3am on Saturday)

We're from Toronto, and staying up in one of the 6 bed houses. We are huge fans of all things Western New York, so you got some new buds already GT. because we've gotta cross a border we have some anxieties...any info on what shakedown was like last year? Looking forward to sharing shuttles and war stories with you guys.

I'm a big fan of Toronto too. Here's hoping the US Border Patrol is nicer to you than the Canadian's were to us going to Phish last year Shakedown seemed to be more active Thurs and Fri, so you'd be best to take care of things early
That Phish show was a disaster for all involved. Started a nasty run of luck that continued with the CMAC Furthur show and WSP ArtPark sadness. We will be at the resort by 1 and likely on the 2 PM shuttle to the fest. We are not "patient" when it comes to our base desires, things will get taken care of as early as possible.
