message boards, eh?Message boards, other traffic control devices and a Traffic Hazard Advisory Radio will be used to alert motorists to these changes in traffic pattern and any major congestion issues. A Safety Service Patrol unit will also be available during peak traffic periods to assist with any incidents that may occur.

Is seems that some are getting emails from LOCKN regarding arrival, I have not.
Are there only 3 entrances? Oak Ridge Road, Diggs Mountain, and James River?
Can we arrive from the east from Buckingham? Or do we need to get to HWY 29??

On the traffic map it looks like the routes from the east will send you to Oak Ridge/James River (56) and the smaller roads into the
area will be blocked off. Also only VIP and RV get in from the east on Oak Ridge so if you show up there as GA no telling where they
will send you but it won't be a short cut for sure!
although you could try a small road to intersect 29 a couple miles north or south of the entrance and break in
line there.
Or 60 from Buckingham to Amherst about 11 miles south of Lockn--60 is a good road.
Since I'm VIP I will probably some in 56 from Buckingham

I received an email, but the only detailed route description for getting to parking destinations I saw was for VIP & RV. My husband was by there a few hours ago and was shown a grid of the whole setup, but nobody could tell him where preferred tent parking will be. He asked a couple of people and no one knew. (?) If its like last year, preferred tent parking (albeit preferred tent is in a slightly different spot this year, i was there last year) will probably be not even a 100 yards away from the camping spot. If you look at the map and see the preferred tent campingg section, its rather large im willing to bet parking is right off the road and close to your canp, no more than 100-200 yardsI received an email, but the only detailed route description for getting to parking destinations I saw was for VIP & RV.
