Ground Scores? winners and losers

yeah, I was wondering.....did a lot of people just leave tents and stuff?

I lost four tent stakes. The ground refused to let them go. I finally gave up and let the ground keep them. Gotta love the VA clay.

first day found a dollar and a cell phone; the phone wouldn't turn on and my charger wouldn't fit so I left it in an obvious place at the bathrooms near where I found it.
second day there was a nice pair of timberland rain boots, girls, near the outside of my tent which may have come off the strange girl who started into my tent at 2:30 when I was asleep but the neighbor chased her off. Gave them to another girl camping nearby.

On move-out, lots of abandoned stuff on VIP hill including whole tents set up, chairs, food, a few coolers, canopy frames, air mattresses and piles and piles of pillows! Other than a gas cannister and even though I am a major trash picker and scavenger at home, I decided to leave stuff like that for people who needed it more, including the local clean-up help.
As the Bible says, don't glean your fields.
Plus I didn't see anything really good except a large cooler.

My car was full; my garage is full; most of my camp came from yard sales so I'm set up. There was a guy camping near me who said all of his equipment this year came from leavings last year!

The only thing I lost was sleep, and the best thing I found was a lot of good friends.

My best score was an awesome group of neighbors. We all rolled in 2-3 deep, but by day two it was like 12 family members camping and partying together.

I found new friends and old friends. I found so much love. I found new love for a whole lotta bands I didn't know much or anything about-too devoted to GD-and all the time I've been missing such beautiful music. I lost a beer soaked rain drenched rug/blanket that I was going to discard anyway. I FOUND A NEW PURPOSE FOR SEPTEMBER FOR AS LONG AS THIS IS AT LEAST 1/4 AS MUCH FUN!!!!

You and Worf are at the top of my new friends list. You offered me so much love and hospitality.

Found a twenty putting chairs up in VIP viewing area on Sunday morning as well as a charm on the way back to camp from stating up those chairs.
