So - we get back on Monday night. G/F gets home and crashes...wakes Tuesday early AM....aches pain etc. Fever and more pain thru the next 24hrs - take here to ER via ambulance on Wed AM. She has the start of pneumonia and possible viral cold - ugh! She's been out of commission since. Friggin' pneumonia - really!?!?!? Likely had the pneumonia start well prior to the fest. (15-25 days usually before symptoms come out. So, she probably grabbed something viral and it kicked the other stuff up a notch. At least she's able to sit up today! The best approach to enjoying a fest is to block from your mind all you know about microbiology, public health and pandemics. That place

Thanks for making me feel better about the fact that I'm only suffering from exhaustion and an aching back (still!!!!). But I hope she feels better soon and that you don't get it too!

my chest cold started sunday morning and is finally starting to go away. i get them after a lot of fests though

I was coughing really really bad on Sunday, hoping taking it easy this weekend will knock it out of my system though. Last year after Lockn I got my entire office sick - luckily they didn't put the two together and I got away with it. Every time I go to a multi-day event it happens, I was taking vitamin c and all that kind of stuff this year to try and avoid it but it didn't seem to help.

I've got it too. Didn't take advantage of those emerge - c packets they put in the vip survival kits.

My husband's got some congestion crud...Attributed it to copious amounts of inhaled dust and exhaustion. I'll let him know he's not alone. Hope all feel better soon.

Contracted a wicked chest cold as well...just finally getting over it, and my back has also been killing me all week...must be the Virginian Red Clay hahaha

the "lockn crud" from the dust got many folks. I know at least 7 people who were suffered respiratory problems in the week after lockn.

Think first day of school or summer camp. It's a whole new germ pool. Combat those bugs by taking in plenty of vitamin C, staying hydrated and getting lots of Lockn Sun. A little garlic wouldn't hurt, but your friends might mind...
