Following the conclusion of the Allman Brother's set, I wandered up to the front of the stage in the hopes of scoring a setlist or something. With the aid of my trusty flashlight, I found this on the ground directly in front of the stage:
Of course, I walked away from the stage all wound-up thinking that I had just found a pick from the last Allman Brother's festival show ever.
Upon returning home, I took to the internet in an effort to determine who the pick belonged to. Despite my best efforts, I'm still confused as to where it actually came from. Derek doesn't use a pick. Warren does use a pick, but typically not of this style (although I did see him throw one into the crowd after the show). Oteil only uses a pick on a handful of songs. I have combed through dozens of pictures and videos, and I can't find any evidence of a yellow pick being used on stage. It is hard to tell, due to the lighting, but it looks like all of Warren's picks are black.
What I have found, is that this style of pick was a preference of Brian Farmer. Obviously the pick was made to honor him, but I can't figure out how it ended up on the ground right in front of the stage.
Anyone who can help me figure this out will be much obliged.
