I suggest you repost this under "Questions/Advice" as a new topic with a helpful title like "What can I expect at my first fest?"
This is a very helpful bunch.
I did Lockn last year as my first multi-day camping fest, and went solo though I had friends there. I found it to be a very comfortable crowd to be in, with a large percent over 40.
You are a good girlfriend indeed!
