The winner of this year's Lockn though was the logistics. Shapiro and Co. finally got it right. Our port-a-johns were spotless and serviced multiple times per day, check in was a breeze. The ADA entrance was the shit until they finally figured it out on Sunday. We only went through security once. If we could just push this back 2 more weeks, it would be flawless.
Thanks to all of you for a great time! same time next year!
Anyway, I enjoyed hanging out with you this weekend, good times...

I sure wish Brandi the best and hope she gets over her ailment quickly, but if her cancelling helped contribute to MMJ playing so long then she did the entire fest a favor.

I was pretty unplugged most of the time I was at the festival, between the lack of reception, and the bright sun making it hard to read the screen, my phone stayed packed away or off most of the time. We didn't know about the schedule changes until later in the day when someone sitting near us told us. Until that, I was so confused about why all the set times were wonky and I thought maybe it was just the heat playing tricks on my mind.

SVIP had only 1/2 to 1/3 of the front but we had side stage where we could go up a set of stairs and watch from there. I loved it because you could see the other band setting up..

I thought that everything about the festival was incredible. It was brutally hot but that's better than rain, so I will take it. Loved MMJ, I was not a huge fan going in but became one. I thought Phish was absolutely incredible, as usual. I wasn't crazy about Ween's Thursday set but Friday was excellent. I missed out on JRAD in person but could hear it clearly from my campsite and throughly enjoyed it. Definitely would like to see them gain.

Fri - Meetup was hilariously fun. Great meeting everyone there. Thanks for the hospitality moon.
Sat Keller from camp was such a pleasant time. Didn't come out until 3:00 I thought Galactic>HWA>Phil>TTB>MMJ was as good a run of music as I've ever heard. Just phenomenal. Missed Lettuce. I fell for the "Just lay here beside me while I fall asleep" ruse. It's a trap. It's always a trap.
Worked well because I was fresh for Sun morning breakfast detail. Served up a big B'fast took a Bloody Mary to church to see Gospel Keller and then went back to camp and cooked second breakfast. Again, stayed in camp until later. Made it out for CRB who I loved. The Sat Phil set was one of the better I have heard from him in recent memory. And Phish closer set was another rager. Head almost exploded at the opening chords of Carini.
What happens if I take both?

I recall from year's past the food tent overrun with shade/shelter seekers, which is understandable but kills the purpose of the food tent.
Weather-wise, the two week shift realistically doesn't matter much, but it increases the odds of heat. And I understand the earlier date will probably stick.

Same this year. There were also some shade structures in front of the food tents, which we sat under each day, but they weren't solid cover, they were these stylized triangle shapes, with gaps in between, so you were always having to move as the sun moved across the sky. You'd sit down in a shady spot, and about an hour later, you feel the sun creeping over on you.
