2015 Lockn forum meetup discussion

I will bring some more stuff from Wolf hills brewing. I brought their white blaze honey cream ale last year, prob switch it up with trooper alley ipa this year.

I dont think we have actually pinned down an exact time for the meet and greet. Is the rv hill m&g planned for Friday between early show and main stage music?

As far as I know we hadn't nailed down the time of ours yet. Would really like to see the official schedule first because I have full intentions of being at JGB no matter when the M&G is scheduled. I don't have a problem staggering the times ( I am a member of both groups) but I will probably not spend too much time at meet and greets, there is too much stuff going on.

Personally I would like to see both of these groups become one, not sure why there are two anyway. We are all there for the same reason.

Another possibility is to merge the meet and greets into one. Wild Bill did invite us all...

Bump. Wanted to make this thread easier to find since it was being sought recently. And I just like thinking about seeing all of my Lockn' friends again soon.  

As mentioned by TOO, the Lockn Family Forum on Facebook (which has quite a few cross over members from here) is having a Meet & Greet Friday at noon up on RV Ridge. Bill has invited us all to come and has invited us to peruse their FB Page for ideas info, meet new friends or connect with old ones. It's a touchy subject sometimes when talking about merging events and I certainly don't want anyone here to feel like anyone is " stealing" members away, but from what I've seen there is a lot of great information, a huge sense of community and lots of giving back to each other (Miracle going on over there right now)as well as the local community.... There will be lots of meeting & greeting going on throughout the festival and my site will be open to anyone passing through to hang out, rest and chat with anyone who is around, but would it be a bad ideas to throw out the idea of one bigger party by combining these two? It's a hike to RV Ridge, but once you're there, there will be friends, chairs food drink and some pretty good times ahead. Ideas? Thoughts?

I thought that might be an issue for some people (me, I'm ADA, but also lazy at times). It is quite a hike up there. 

See you should have gone VIP or SVIP & you would get a ride up there. Now you may have to go to give rides to others.  I wouldn't do that to a brother but don't miss the pony trot classes next week.

Don't really care where but Friday around noon sounds great. Flying Dog brewery (Frederick, MD) released Snake Dog Ale in cans. The brew befits its name and Ralph Steadman (think Hunter S Thompson) does the artwork for all of their labels. What could be a better warm up? I will be there to share the Nectar of the Gods with my fellow Locknheads and have one with your names on it. Can't wait.

i don't think they put craft beer in cans in Humboldt

I think Garcia's would be a fun spot for the meetup. It is right on the way into the venue so everyone could mingle in and out easily, great music in the background.

We could easily set up a Smosey table for beer and treats off to the side. Could potentially get more people interested in the forum.

They may not even have Garcia's lounge this year. So its just a suggestion. Maybe Saturday so we don't alienate members of both groups.

+1 for smosey table. We still have it, and I plan on bringing it unless it can't be fit. I agree that having it in public may generate more interest.
