I assure you that there will be more than enough room for all of us in ga.
Im grateful be able to go at all, happy for those who can do vip/svip would be a fun experience for sure.
Just try to have fun and prepare for a great time.

The last Fest I attendee was Gathering of the Vibes and before that was Watkins Glen back in the 70s. I think GOVT was probably not typical- it seemed almost to good to be true! I'm going to LOCKN for the music and I feel very good about it. My vibe will be positive!

Watkins Glen, July 28, 1973 was my first Dead show. Seventeen years old with 15 cents in my pocket. Such a great time.

Me too. I think I might have had $10, but definitely not a ticket. Went to class Friday morning, hitch hiked 500 miles to get to Watkins Glen, enjoyed 24 hours of happiness, starting hitching home at daybreak Sunday, was back in class Monday morning.Watkins Glen, July 28, 1973 was my first Dead show. It kills me that we grew up less than an hour away from the Glen and weren't there. Of course, I was 2 and Sue was 6...
It occurs to me that this post might land me in some hot water...

The VIP field area is not all that huge. At its width, it basically runs from the end side of one stage to the near end side of the other. Mostly it is between the 2 stages. Probably deeper than it is wide.

He is not in the hot water! I'm 61 going on 16, danced through 15 sets atGOTV..... VIP is substantial from my GA viewpoint! In done and going to have fun.

I thought I read early on at the other LOCKN site that you could leave a chair out , in the permitted area of course, overnight as long as you let anybody sit in it when you weren't there- or something like that..... Sound right ?

I do not think they would let you leave your chair overnight. The show field would be a hassle to clean.I thought I read early on at the other LOCKN site that you could leave a chair out , in the permitted area of course, overnight as long as you let anybody sit in it when you weren't there- or something like that..... I would not leave anything on the field overnight. They close the area down and clean up everything. I tried to get back to the shuttle buses one night last year after leaving the blue ridge bowl and was not allowed through. Ended up having to walk all the way around to get to the parking/buses.
