Didn't come the first year but I believe that I am sitting in the much talked about field of broken dreams. Been here about an hour, haven't moved.

And not a restroom in sight that I can see... Go before you get in line!

On another note, are they allowing day parking to park?

In RV GA and setup by 8am. We are in the field right next to blue ridge bowl. No mud here really. Just wet grass. Cookin breakfast now. This is nice.

The line movement seems inequitable still. I'm one of the unfortunate middle field folks and I haven't moved yet.

What time do you get in 2013?

Anyone else have similar lax search?

We came down 29 south around 8:30 and were not allowed to make a left on 56 or line up, cops waving everybody to continue south. We drove past a line on 29 north that is a mile or two long and growing. Pulled a U-ey to get in the back of the line. Has moved a few car lengths in about half an hour.

Headed for GA RV, hopefully I'm in the right line...

It is officially a cluster f to get in VIP / RV entrance. @5-6 mile complete stop on the back roads and God knows how far back on Rte 29. 30 mins and I have gone @ quarter mile.

Not sure what the right approach is, but getting here at 8:45 was a mistake.

Anyone come in from James River State Park? From Lynchburg, I'm thinking of getting off 29 at Amherst and taking 60 (Richmond Hwy) over to Norwood (north side of the park), then Williamstown Rd (722) to 56. Think they'll let us turn left onto Oak Ridge Road where everyone coming from 29 is turning right? It's about 30 minutes more driving but might save two hours of waiting on 29. More trouble than it's worth? We won't be rolling in until 12:30 or so anyway, so maybe (?) the traffic will have cleared by then.
