I know of two people who reserved theirs almost a year in advance, but when they went to pick them up, were told they were not available.

 One, they said his RV was wrecked the week before by the prior user. At that point, there were no others in stock to be had, and getting his money back does not solve the problem. And under the contract, that's all you get.  I suspect that the companies overbook them, and take their chances, and a google search shows this is not uncommon.  Sometimes it's a dodge to get the desperate customer to upgrade.  And there really isn't much you can do about it.

And then all the other places in the state were sold out, due to this and  the other events.  I've heard that the big festivals like Bonnaroo suck them all out of circulation from several adjoining states.

Of course, for every bad story there are hundreds where things worked out fine, so I don't mean to suggest this is going to happen, but being aware that it could, gives the careful buyer some opportunity to protect himself, or assess the "worst case."

And in the case above, each was able, with a mad scramble for one and shear luck for the other, to get replacements.
