So, apparently the gentleman that I was in contact with at the State Police headquarters CC'd his reply along to Dave Frey. Mr. Frey, in turn, sent an email to me directly. I'm not gonna lie, I got a little giddy inside when i saw his name in my inbox. I don't know which I'm more excited about, getting an email directly from the man himself or the content of his email. My apologies for making the 10th traffic related topic, but I got a little excited. I think my plans have changed yet again and I will, indeed, be showing up pretty early. I just hope they have port o potties in that parking lot, lol

Dear Mr Rogers,

Thank you for writing. The Event will open at 9:00 am, if anyone arrives early they be put in a parking lot so that they can wait until at 9:00. The Event is not opening early so please spread the word.

We've exchanged a couple of emails, so I have a little follow up info. He said there will be port o potties available at the parking lot, but that the parking lot will also have a heavy police presence. I suggest that if you are bringing ANYTHING with you that you should not be, do not show up early. Mr. Frey suggested that everyone just show up at 9 when the gates open.

I'm going to be driving all night, probably be there round 6. I won't be drinking in the lot or anything. I am glad to hear there is somewhere I can stop and take a nap when I get there. I'm thinking it is entrapment to walk a dog up to a car sitting in a parking lot and bust someone.

My pleasure, sir. Don't forget to thank Dylan for coming up with the idea to make this forum. I just enjoy helping people and I really just want everyone to have an awesome fest. Let's assume they have 7,000 cars to process between car camping and tent only (I think this is a pretty conservative estimate). If they start at 9:00 and have until 4:00 (when the music starts), that's 7 hours. This would require them to process cars at a rate of 1,000 per hour. That breaks down to 16.6 cars per minute. I'm not trying to be a pessimist, I just don't see them moving that fast.
