I know there have been a few threads here about the pros/cons of Forest camping but most seem to be a few years old so just wanted to raise it up again, as this will be my first Lock'n, and I'm pumped!
The main draw, in my mind, for Forest camping is that I'm an old man and want to be able to sleep in as much as I can after a long night of raging. If the trees provide me with a few more hours of shade, which gets me a few more hours of sleep, then this is totally worth it for the extra cost for me. That said, a few other questions I had before I buy the forest camping ticket -
1 - If there are two of us, with two smaller tents, will we be allowed to use one Forest camping pass, since it sounds like there aren't specifically marked squares for camping space in Forest? Or do they actually check how many tents you're bringing in, or strictly mark off spaces for you to set up your tents within the forest?
2- I read on one of the older threads that there was a stage right in the middle of Forest camping. Since the main draw for me of Forest camping is that I want to get a few hours of quality sleep, if a stage is going till 6AM, and people are passing through our area all night to get to/from that stage, sleeping well's gonna be tough.. Anyone know if this is the case - that people will be flowing through the forest area all night, and music will be going all night right in the middle of it?
3 - I also read on another thread that the forest camping was one of the loudest / most crowded areas. This again would be a huge negative for me as the whole reason I'd be doing forest camping is for the quiet/sleep..
4- I've seen various accounts that the Forest area is actually the furthest from the main stage and other areas. I guess there's been no map put out for 2016 yet, but how was this in 2015?
Any other thoughts from people who have done forest camping before?
