I have one lots of tickets from that PBS radio station, for local shows. The promoters must give them a lot, since they are non-profit, and also it's not hard to call in--not the volume you may have elsewhere. Same with a local independent station. Seldom will these be the big ones like Springsteen or DMB at the big amphitheater, but lots for the smaller concert halls and smaller outdoor venues.

For my lockn tickets I searched and found a corporate station with the contest; they gave them away same time every day, so I listened on line and called in for 3-4 days and won. I usually don't work that hard at it.

Of course not. But you may have similar stations giving away tickets to shows in your area.

Then, for something national/regional like Lockn and other festivals, search for radio stations in the region giving them away. That's where my Lockn tickets came from.

Also, I win by calling in, not by signing up by email.

did your mustang have an in-dash 8-track? Mine did. But previous and subsequent cars had the tape decks I installed under the dash, near the CB.
