Food Vendors at LOCKN’

At L2 they had a lot more craft beer vendors than at L3. then at the general beer tents you had choices of crafts (SH grateful pale ale was one) as well as coors/bud types, same at the VIP beer bars, and they were a couple bucks cheaper than the crafts. Also VIP was a couple bucks cheaper than outside.

At L3 there were fewer craft beers and they were far away. ALL of the other beer bars were limited to Sierra Nevada. No other choice and it was pricey, the Nooner was more expensive than the basics were last year. In short, it was a captive market and I resented not having the choice, as did almost everyone I spoke with. And no VIP discount.

(and BTW personally I like crafts and usually don't drink coors/bud unless that's all there is, love my PBR and never ever drink light beer. I thought Nooner was good but still not for high volume hot weather consumption).

Starr Hill is a local (Crozet) craft beer and the owner knows how to market it broadly. He's one of the top guys in the music business, involved in many fests, and his management company's artists includes Phish, MMJ and Ween. Pete used to work with him. So you often see Starr Hill participating at concerts and festivals, and it makes sense with this line-up, that it will be involved. I would expect Starr Hill to be prominent; they may even do the same as they did with Sierra Nevada, unless volume would be an issue. InBev had an option to buy in but that expired.

and personally I like the Starr Hill beers; the Dark Starr is one of my favorite stouts. Just an opinion.

I am seriously as excited about the food vendors as I am about the bands.....I want to try them all!!  

Different strokes for different folks ... I prefer Starr Hill over SN. They make a wheat beer that is light and sits well with me in the heat. Kinda agree with Sneak on the IPAs though.

Sho be do be do ...

I actively avoid double IPA's as I find them to be too sweet and malty usually and I'm going to end up as drunk as I need to be anyway, no need to speed up the process even more. 8% is my absolute max for hoppy beers.

Starr Hll has improved greatly over the past few years

Here is our set up at home. Not just healthy but quite pretty IMHO. We have 2 more baby scobies if anyone wants to claim them.

Lots to choose from that looks great. I'm was really hoping for Roti Rolls to be there.

Surprised Jack Brown's Burgers isn't making a return based on the lines last year. Asian Sensation and Pieguy will be my go to.
