I don't know if I see it that way. CC2 looks like it might actually be a little bit closer to the main venue. Plus you're nestled back in the woods, which I figure might make it easier to sleep in to the late morning.

might be a tiny bit closer, but it's much further from triangle. plus the walk will be way more boring from cc2. i like to people watch

I think I'd prefer car camping 2 to car camping 1. Having been in car camping 1 last year (when it was labeled car camping 2), I'll take closer to the main stage rather than closer to the triangle stage any day. What you can't see from the aerial view on the map is just how far uphill it is to climb from the triangle to where my camp site was near the tree line.

Of course, the new car camping 2 may be just as steep. Car camping in general seems to be less than ideal. I'm feeling thankful for the hubby with the bad ankle getting us into ADA camping.

The whole camping area is pretty hilly. It gave me and my bicycle a good workout last year.

You won't need a bike to get to the main stage from preferred tent.  But if you plan to go out to the triangle stage it could be helpful.  You just have to figure out whether it's worth the hassle of having the bike along just for the purposes of the triangle stage.  If you don't have mobility issues, walking wouldn't be so bad.  Maybe a mile.

I was in VIP camping. I'm sure the guy was just spaced out and posed no harm. With him not responding I got a little skittish. I asked him many times if I could get him anything or help him. He just stumbled off. Besides that it was a great vibe, awesome neighbors, no issues at all.

Yes.  And make sure you have locks on your coolers and tent.  Not that a tent lock would really stop anyone who wants to steal your stuff, but it's at least a small obstacle that may divert any wooks to someone else's site.

I don't think theft was a common theme at Lockn'.  But it clearly did happen to some extent.  And I'm sure it happens at other festivals, too.  I've spent enough time trolling InfoRoo to know that theft does indeed happen at Bonnaroo.  That's how I learned about tent locks in the first place.

The reality is that the sale of single day tickets is directly related to the amount of theft that occurs.  People who have invested the cost of a full four-day ticket are much less likely there to troll for stuff to steal.  So we need Lockn' to sell bunches of tickets and keep the day-walkers away.

But seriously...you're camping with 25,000 people you don't know from Adam.  If something is important to you, lock it up.  If something is really, really important to you, leave it at home.

It happens from time to time. I have been to many festivals and have always encountered or heard of some theft.

There will always be a few bad apples.
Best advice is to make friends with your neighbors. Watch their back, camp, they watch yours.
Lock up your valuables pref. in car. 
Hide anything else, don't leave out in the open, things you dont want to lose...coolers etc..

I didnt say do something about it. I said address the issue.

Perhaps giving out color coded wrist bands according to what camping section your in since many people believe that the single day folks might be causing the problems.

Or perhaps having Lockn staff man a check point and refuse access to day pass holders beyond that point.

As for cops, im for that because im not doing anything I shouldnt. Maybe not case for everyone else though.
