Got pneumonia for the first time in my life. It totally sucks the life right out of you. Laid on the couch for 5 days and binge-watched all 7 seasons of Game Of Thrones. The ONLY reason I survived....

We recently watched all three series of HBO's "Getting On". It has a similar style of The Office--comedy and social satire, and even came from a British series as did The Office. It's set in a geriatric wing of a hospital. Check it out.

Also, the Netflix one was made by the F*ck Jerry people who really play down their role in all of the debauchery.   I think the Netflix one is more entertaining, the Hulu one is more intense.

We watched the movie "The Green Book" last night, now on pay per view. Like too many movies it was only in the theaters about two days.

Named after the guide book for Blacks travelling by car, with information about hotels, restaurants, etc. that (sadly) they could use, it involves a road trip that in some parts with make you think of Driving Miss Daisy, but inside-out. However, both main characters develop during the film.

It was surprisingly good; I feared another tiresome "all Southerners are ignorant and hateful" screed but it was not that at all, and was on par with "Hidden Figures". Viggo Mortensen* was great as a main character, and there was a lot of interesting music played and discussed. In a lot of ways it presented a message of hope about our race problems, a welcome message indeed.



*He's a much better actor than his brother Rigor, who gets quite stiff as a film progresses.

Watched "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" last night. I was in tears. YMMV.

Watched the Netflix Woodstock documentary last night. Was not expecting a whole lot. Holy shit though, the quality of the behind the scenes and crowd footage was unbelievable and as far as I know, had not been released before. I highly recommend this.

Saw the movie theater movie "once upon a time in Hollywood." Set in 1969 Hollywood with great music, movie references and the best cars including mustangs, too! It's a Tarentino, with Pitt and DiCaprio, as a stunt double and fading Western actor, and lots of fun cameos. And hippies! Early in the film you see the foreshadowing of Tate/Manson, which develops into the plot. I'm not spoiling anything with that. But I won't go further and suggest you avoid learning any more about the ending!

I think my friends around here would enjoy it. And it's one for the big screen. But you know movies now--here today, gone tomorrow!

I wasnt impressed and was somewhat disappointed. Was expecting more. Its funny because I thought Dicaprio was great in it, my BIL thought he sucked. Wide range of opinions on this movie. TEHO.
