Ahh showers. For me personally they go against the festival code but I can understand why they are important to some. L2 we were camped right next to the wood stage and the shower tent was unattended for the first two days, ended up being a great way to handle the heat until they got their act together by Saturday. In some ways Lockn's infamous disorganization can work to your benefit.

In 2015 I never even thought about showering because the temperatures were so nice that I barely sweated. This past year though I probably could have used one after doing nothing but setting up camp. Would have had an unprecedented level of stank on me by the end if I wouldn't have taken at least one.

Then you would not have liked the ankle deep brown water in the VIP showers much. And the challenge of putting on shorts in a 2x2 cubicle without them touching the floor, explained the swath of abandoned u-trou all around. I should have brought my lungi (sarong).

Yeah that sounds pretty gross. GA showers over by the Woods stage area this year were super clean I thought when I used them on Saturday morning. I could've stayed in there for a half hour and wouldn't have minded it.Then you would not have liked the ankle deep brown water in the VIP showers much. To be fair smosey I think that this has been solved since then as the VIP showers and bathrooms have been clean and well-maintained, at least in the VIP RV area.Then you would not have liked the ankle deep brown water in the VIP showers much. I wasn't there last year. But in previous years the VIP showers and bathrooms in VIP/RV were sparkling clean and well maintained--a secret I discovered late in the game (shhhh). But they were serving far less people than in the VIP campground, esp. at L3 where it was sold out, and few people with an RV will use a public bathroom other than for #1.
The low traffic is what kept them working. The others are simply not designed for heavy loads and no attendants, and they failed at L2 and L3.

Again, I think this is resolved. Last year they had many more staff manning these bathrooms and they seemed more than adequate to handle the traffic. Let's move on from bathrooms if we can.I wasn't there last year. I would like a custom Lockn' GPS app that preformed like a Google map/Streetview app with breadcrumb tracking ability. This will help everyone in the unprecedented August 2017 Lockn' snowstorm. It would be very nice to look at my phone and see the estimated wait time at the gate.

Very true. Like walking in the side entrance with 5-7 beers every day last year. I actually put an open jalapeño tall boy in my back pocket just before walking in without breaking stride. I think we finally had to go to the main entrance on Sunday.Ahh showers. For me personally they go against the festival code but I can understand why they are important to some. Last year the showers and bathrooms in the VIP camping were super clean. There was someone there almost around the clock to make sure they were. There was also hot water anytime of day.

They could use some more water filling stations as well as more shade throughout the festival grounds.

Bathroom attendant at a fest has to be the worst festy job. Granted, there's is air conditioning. But. Most of these kids are just like me at that age. Willing to do whatever to get into a show. A kind word or a tip makes all the difference. Let's them know we've been there and we appreciate what they do.
My experience has been that a thank you or a pleasant gesture (cold beer) goes a long way. But, if they're doing a good job, tip these kids. It matters.
My one true suggestion is to make the First Aid tent accessible and make sure staff, all staff, knows where it is and can guide guest to it. Better yet, dedicated transport to First Aid.

I always end up with extra beer. At Peach last year I gave it all away on Sunday night to workers and volunteers. It was partly mercenary: I didn't want to haul it back.Bathroom attendant at a fest has to be the worst festy job. Granted, there's is air conditioning. But. I usually have extra beer, but last year at Lockn' we almost ran out! I was strategizing how to get a ride out to the store and hoof back with another case. But a couple nearby were leaving early and they donated theirs to our cooler. Whew!
