Super VIP

I'm not sure what time the VIP shows were last year. I think I remember there being a lot of bleed thru on the tape of the Phil & Bob show from the main stage but I could be wrong. If it was after the main stages shut down that's one thing. A real perk for VIP as opposed to heading out to the Triangle Stage for late night. But if it was during the main stage shows then I question the worth. There weren't really any times that I wanted to leave the main stage. And this year with CRB and Bustle playing late night I just don't know where they are going to squeeze those intimate performances in.

Not trying to talk anyone out of SVIP. I am sure you will have a hella good time. Proximity to the concert area is a HUGE benefit. Less of a patdown going into the venue is priceless. Air conditioned restroom trailers with an attendant keeping them clean are pure gold. If there are free showers, like there should be, then that is totally worth the VIP ticket. I really like going VIP to All Good and had thought about it for Lockn but decided GA RV was a better solution for all of us. VIP doesn't have anywhere to hang our hammocks so VIP RV is the only option and there would have been fewer of us splitting cost so it escalates quickly.

But SVIP just really doesn't add up for me. Like I said I don't see the private shows as that big a benefit because I would have to leave killer music to see it. A couple meals of buffet food are ok but not that big a deal. Cheaper beer prices help. And private viewing areas don't appeal to me. I know some folks can't get up on the rail and stay there all day and night. Neither can I. That is why I am back where I have some room to set a chair, dance as uncoordinatedly as I can and come & go as I please without infringing on others.

Again, however you go with whatever ticket you are going to have a great time.

It would be super convenient to pop in for a quick bit of chow. Ideally at Lockn I sleep in the ac till noon. I get up and eat b'fast at camp. I hang out in the shade till the first show I want to see and eat a sandwich before heading in. Once in I'm in for the duration. So I get a bite to eat from one of the vendors. Then I chow something when I get back to camp before hitting the late night. Be harder this year with the late night Shakedown Stage. I may not want to go back to camp and eat.

Awesome offer worf. Especially for folks out in car camping.

Gonna be hard pressed to get SVIP this year.

We had it last year and although the management was rough...the shows were great.

We did miss the stage shows while we waited in the SVIP tent for the acoustic sets...and yes it was crowded. (that's why we decided to just sit in front of the stage )

You're basically looking at $2000 per ticket after all is said and done....$500 a day....and you don't really know how many folks will show up...nor will you know who's really gonna play. I just keep shaking my head.

Way to jump in with both feet FT! You will have a ball.

I have to wait until Wednesday but since I do have extra $$ I will treat myself. It more than likely be my only time. Besides I've never been able to ride someones shoulders at a show. Should be good for some pics

To SVIP or not.. That is the question...

Spent the cash for SVIP. I now feel special. Actually i feel broke. What the heck.
