Yes...no glass. It is a horse farm and I'm sure they don't want anything broken left in the field. Then again, coleman lanterns have glass...well, pyrex. hmmmm. Either way, it's best to read ALL the rule so there are no surprises. Last year, in haste, I grabbed a 4 pack of root beer and forgot it was in the middle of the truck....wouldn't you know it...they grabbed it. My own fault and I don't blame them. Well this beer conversation is definitely over my head, but I. o love a hoppy beer and will even drink it lukewarm, although I thought I was just being cheap when I did that.
Dales has a nice one called Deviant if you've never tried it. That Terrapin Recreation is our go-to beer for outdoor music.

Dales has a nice one called Deviant if you've never tried it. That Terrapin Recreation is our go-to beer for outdoor music.
Every Friday we go to our local brewpub, where they have a firkin (that's really just a fancy name for small keg. About a 1/4 barrel) of cask-conditioned ale, usually dry-hopped or otherwise infused, served at room temperature. It's glorious.

Starr Hill's "Dark Star" is about as good a stout you can get--thick and chewy and coffee. Will be good for breakfast after a slug of limeade on the wake-up. But not a daytime sunshine drinker.
Too bad O'Connor (from my home in Norfolk Virginia) isn't in cans yet.

Not sure about Back Bay but Smartmouth does. More crafts are moving to cans for a number of reasons (and no longer a reason not to,
with coated cans). There are even mobile canneries that go to the small breweries.
Cans are way better than bottles for the Earth, including due to shipping weight and space, a big carbon load that people underestimate.
O'Connor Great Dismal is a fine brew; much closer to a stout.

So they say local breweries Devil's Backbone, Blue Mountain Brewery & Starr Hill will be on hand. Whats the opinion on these & what do you think is best. Not familiar with any of them.

I like the Starr Hill Grateful Pale Ale. My girlfriends likes their Wheat Beer. The Devil's Backbone are OK, I don't think any of them are stand outs. I'm less familiar w/ the Blue Mountain, only knowing for sure that I've had the Full Nelson Pale Ale. I would choose a different Pale Ale.
None of them make an IPA I really like.

I can drink a Grateful if it's really hot out. Other than that, I bring my own with a vengeance.

Blue Mountain Dark Hollow is a barrel aged Imperial Stout and is exceptional. The best thing about Devil's Backbone is the brew pub and the festival they have there called Festy Experience. It is amazing how good the DB beers taste during that fest. Not a fan of Starr Hill.

If i'm not mistaken, the beer that rates (GABF medal winner) from DB is a porter. Not exactly what you want on a dusty hot day, but in October...
FESTY!!!
To keep it on a positive note, the grateful pale on a hot day is sessionable. About all i have to say about starr hill beer. Tho they do have superkindallgoodbrah names.

used it to cover scent both fur trapping and deer hunting. Didn't actually taste it but got close enough. PLus I sometimes get a whiff from the critters that come round the house (and I live in the city).
but the description is not unlike those who say Heineken is skunky.

is there a no glass rule...? and if so does that mean you have to re-bottle your liquer in something plastic? that really is no problem at all..just wondered if that was the SOP
