Really depends on how zealous your particular searcher feels. If it's towards the end of their shift, they may be too tired to care or they may be grumpy and looking for trouble. My advice is to take it out of the case and put the individual cans in the bottom of your other bins or totes or whatever. All you have to lose is the price of one case.

Remember, the rule isn't just to cynically push folks toward the sponsored beer, it's also to prevent unlicensed vending. With the ABC debacle this year, they sure don't need any more alcohol violations.

Wait- so they do enforce the one case per person rule?  I just assumed that was a "guideline."  I have four guys coming in an RV and we were certainly planning on taking more than 4 cases of beer (and also talking several different types of liquor).  I guess they are worried we are going to be selling it? 

I didn't hear about anyone getting it confiscated last year, but if they go to the trouble to post it on their site it could always be enforced. I think it's best to have them loose from the case even if they're not stashed, cuz I can't see anyone taking the trouble to count.

The rule allows them to control someone showing up who clearly intended to bootleg.
After all, that would be another ABC violation if they "allowed" it (i.e. failed to control, condoned, facilitated,
knew-or-should-have-known).

Not to mention that the vending is the big profit center (and being Americans, there's nothing wrong with that). A reasonable amount
allowed in sets a friendly tone and is going to get in anyway; they have the sales locked (pun intended) in the stage area. This isn't a
co-op; it's a business.

Plus the more they let in, the higher cost for more portajohns and more emptying. You only rent beer.

I heard that last year if they took your kitchen knife you could get it back on the last day at lost and found. I doubt they'd do that
with alcohol. More like lost and evaporated.

only problem with that is the cans contain Sam Adams Boston Lager

Its the worst can beer i'll drink.

There isnt much variety for good canned beer around where I live.

I'll be drinking sierra Nevada pale ale and maybe torpedo if I can find some cans.

Posts like this remind me just how archaic PA liquor laws are.  Well be picking up our cases at the distributor.  Because that's where we're allowed to buy them.  Sigh...

if you like German Pilsner, the Henniger 16 oz cans from total wine w/ coupon are the best deal going.
