Of course this period probably falls during a lot of groups break between their summer and fall tour. Also more into the Atlantic hurricane season, but it sure would be nice. I still think they need to erect a blimp hanger in Amherst.

Fair enough, but having been to 3 Lockn's and 2 Wanee's, I am putting my personal experiences above whatever science may have to say. And never at Wanee or Hulaween have I had to repeatedly ask, "When is that damn sun going to set so I can just enjoy the music?!"

I will also entertain the notion that better overall camping conditions, including ample shade, may contribute to the illusion of cooler temperatures.

Valid points. Since I go all in on LOCKN, and it is 45 minutes away, LOCKN wins each time and I just deal with the weather. If LOCKN ever goes away I will be all in on Wanee. Just cannot do both...
