Wednesday Early Entry Thread

Can anyone give a LOCKN’ first-timer a quick lowdown on early entry?
I see it is “per vehicle” not per person.
I found that arrival is late afternoon but I can’t seem to find any price. How much was it in 2017 and can we count on it happening. It seems like knowing 3 weeks prior doesn’t allow much time to plan.

We’re traveling from Vermont so our itinerary would be VERY different if we were able to gain early access Wednesday night.

Last two years it was $20/vehicle.  Gates open at 4. They stack the vehicles in four or so lanes and I think it took about an hour until we actually were at the campsite.  Security check ranges from a little to a little more.  

Once you are in on Wednesday, you have a 24 hour wait for access to the main field, the music, and to most of the food vendors, so bring food and beer.  There are a few vendors open Wednesday evening at the Terrapin area but not a lot of food type vendors.

He means you are onsite at your camp for 24 hours before Thurs. music starts. I love being onsite Wed. Have a good dinner, catch up with friends, make some new ones, rage for a bit and crash. Wake up and you are onsite ready to go. We always have a great Wed. night gathering.

Of course, that's what we are here for.



There IS early entry for VIP camping. They say a limited amount of passes are available but I've never known of anyone who wanted one and couldn't get one.

The main reason they aren't offered earlier, best that I can tell is because...Lockn. What I mean by that is that sometimes Lockn does things for no apparent rhyme or reason. Anyway it all works out fine in the end. Best $20 you can spend at Lockn...

Look out for info in the coming months about our beer exchange/meet and greet. Hope to meet you on the farm...

So what I mean is: you get there at 4 Wednesday and get to your campsite by 5. But Lockn doesn’t start til 5 on Thursday. So you have 24 hours of hanging out. Make an awesome camp, get to know your neighbors, and ride your bike around the property.

I just checked what I paid last year- $22.68 ...super shocked that it more than doubled in price. Still worth it though I think.

I own one (EE pass GA RV) for $53.50 as of 5 minutes ago. Sucker born every minute perhaps, but with nothing to compare prices to, I'm all in and just working tonight later to earn the fee. Will be worth the relaxation to enter and camp early, hoping the electric hookup is all that I envision. cheers!

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about!!! EE pass price is another night camping, another several hours of complete immersion into a great 5 days!
