They have to hike. Bring the bulk of their heavy stuff in the RV beforehand.

I would check with the Interlocken people to see if they could get a golfcart ride. I doubt they're going to let anyone traverse showfield (especially while "in use") with their gear. Either that or rent a wook to ~~hump~~ carry their stuff all the way around.

I had no idea the early entry was so crowded. We're doing it for the first time this year, and planned to arrive around 6:00 or so. Wonder what the line is like 2 hours later?

Don't want to arrive too late and have to set up in the dark. It takes a while to get the pop-up set, and we have a large canopy too.

I think they must have opened the gates at noon last year. I got there around 2:30 and there were already three long lines but they sent me to the front of the fourth line. I ended up camped directly across from the VIP entrance. My neighbors arrived an hour later and were right next to me. Short version is it's a crap shoot. This year we are leaving Lynchburg at 1 for a 1:45 arrival and hoping that good karma puts me where I need to be. Lizard if you arrive at 6 you will drive straight in.
