this one?If you zoom into Oak Ridge in Google maps and more specifically above the track, there are two blue dots you can zoom on in street view. The one back by the pond provides a cool drone shot of the grounds and a good idea of the new stage location. I tried inserting the link but it would not work.

Maybe this picture is deceiving, but I'm having a hard time reconciling the apparent size of the main stage area in this picture and the space we had inside the track. This looks much smaller to me.
I thought the same thing. Maybe its the angle of the drone. Plus keep in mind the main stage area only took up half the track (i think). But even then, new area looks smaller. Dave said its same size.

If you look at the satellite view, you can see pretty clearly on the infield of the track where the stage and the vendor areas were, and if you zoom in/out just enough so that both the track and the new main stage area are on the screen, I still think the new main stage viewing area looks smaller, significantly smaller, definitely narrower, but we have heard in another thread that the size of the crowd will be reduced/capped from previous years, so maybe all will be a-ok.

The OLD map with the overlay but it gives you the idea.Ok I'm confused. Is the relix the blue ridge bowl area from last year or at the back of the main field? Is VIP car camping on the ridge like last year? I liked it there. The orientation of the map is confusing me? It was convenient last year to have the entrance through the VIP camping last year into the festival.

Also, if you go back and watch sneake's video of Dave, they leave from Garcia forest, head NW, then turn west by lumi camping and stop in front of VIP at the relic stage. thank you that helps a lot .

The Glamping area was GA RV last year. I was where the O in sober is. Decent spot with a whole row of the cleanest portos you've ever seen/smelled. And that little swath of GA RV in the car camping is pretty damn steep IIRC. Thanks for this. Probably the best perspective yet.

OOOH, another M&G workshop--"The Ins and Outs of Lockn'" We are turning into a University with all the workshops! We will be conferring a special BL degree (Bachelor of Lockn')yes. I don't know if that photo is showing some sort of elongation effect, but the car camping area looks HUMONGOUS compared to the stage area. If that photo is accurate we will be FUBAR as far as space at the stage goes...
