Looks like they updated the website on the backpacks policy. Says they are prohibited on show field and anything larger than 4.5x5.5 must be clear.

the 7' flagpole rule is a picture of failure to think. A 7' flag pole blocks more view than a 12' flag on the show field, and is lower than your tent at the campground.
Hopefully they will think things over, like they did the no flag rule last year, and relax this in the campground. I'd prefer none in the show field.
Are they afraid of a spear attack?

Have they always explicitly prohibited glow sticks? Saw plenty of them of last year, so maybe they don’t enforce it, but hope to discourage it.

I think they did last year, due to litter. I doubt they'll say anything about a couple so you can find yourself in the dark but not a handful.
