I've mentioned this before; fanny packs come in all sizes. I expect to see the 4.5 x 5.5 rule apply to them, not exactly of course but conceptually.

It certainly won't do anyone any good to try to out-technical them on these general rules. They have the discretion.

I have a bag you wear like a sling, about the size of a fanny pack and which I can temporarily wear around the waist. It should work. I also have a belt pack that's like a small backpack without straps; probably won't pass but I might ask and not argue.

So much depends on distance from the gate to either my camp or a friend's.

Looked through all those FB posts, checked on Twitter and Reddit. There is NO indication that clear backpacks are not allowed.

Updated Bags:

Any bags larger than 5.5" wide X 4.5” deep X 9” tall must be clear plastic.

Mesh bags are not permitted, as many are not transparent.

Diaper bags are permitted only if accompanied by a small child or infant.

Fanny packs are permitted

Hydration packs that are less than 5” deep are permitted. No "cargo-carrying" hydration packs.

All bags will be searched upon entering the venue.

Totems: Mobile totems must be made of pvc or other light weight material.

Wagons: There will be an area for parking wagons outside of the main entrance. BYO Lock.

I have two confessions that I feel I must share:

Confession #1 I have never nor have I ever had any intention of wearing a fanny pack. I was actually quite proud of this fact.

Confession #2 I am shopping for fanny packs.

Why do they call them fanny packs when 90% of the people wear them rolled up under their belly?
