good news. Sort of joking here, but any additional shade structures?

I knew they were going to push it all back into the backstage area and lose the wasted space between the two stages.

As for the "vendors on the hill" question, there are two "hills" where they could be. One is directly in front of Relix and I think that is too tight, as Jdavidian points out. The other is directly in front of main stage, instead of beside it, and up where they had the Starr Hill private area and some vendors. They can then use the area to the side of the stage (house right) for viewing, and will likely slant the stage somewhat in that direction.

I haven't heard yet if there will be a Starr Hill or similar M&G area; they had one at L2 but not L3. Last year's took up a lot of real estate.

smosey that is not what he said. The main field was extended AWAY from the main stage towards the back.

That was a random shade structure by the vendors in the back there. Large hill from relix beer down to that shade square.

If you look closely at that photo, there is a large round flat space in the top left corner with a track-looking path around it. seems flat and almost designed for some sort of viewing rather than just parking cars. seems like if you put the stage at the top, you would have plenty of space for viewers and vendors and could park cars where the current show field is. maybe someone should mention this to Frey.

See, there is the problem. If the proletariat would rise up against our bourgeoisie suppressors, we would have plenty of space. Throw the yoke off your shoulders ride bearers! (also, you may have noted I am back to work and have enough free internet time to post, but still nothing of substance to say)

OT but Jdavidian, how did you get in the car camping section between the RV and the stage? When did you arrive? I want to get in that area and assume they fill it after greenfield further out and on the other side of RV.

While I would prefer not to have to use shoulder rides it is still necessary to get me from my camp to the VIP tent area and back.

Now back on topic, how about those venue changes?
