It was in the rules a few years ago and was a point of discussion with a friend bringing a pop-up. This year they say: "If you have a towable RV, one towing or companion vehicle is allowed per RV, and must be attached to the RV." Didnt catch the live chat but this pricing makes no sense to me. The poppa bear rv spot is $550 but the community spot that comes with 4 rv passes and could fit 4 poppa bears is $3000 (plus $105 fee!). What am I missing? I guess you could squeeze some cars on the site but that space may be taken up with tow vehicles. 
And even the $550 seems like alot. Werent GA rv spots around $299 in years past? Yea, I don't get how they are going to sell any of those group RV tickets. Folks that want to camp like that will just follow each other again and get their individual papa bear spots. What's the point of paying more?

Last year my total for two GA tickets plus powered GA RV was $836. This year for the same tickets I paid about $1150 - that’s about a 35% increase. Just for comparison, my 2019 tickets (2 GA plus powered GA RV) for Floydfest came to $560 - basically half the price of Lockn.Didnt catch the live chat but this pricing makes no sense to me. one question on those ticket prices is whether they are locked in or will increase the way the admission tickets do? I seem to recall that all the camping options stayed the same price but not admission.
I can't see but a handful of RV's taking advantage of the 4 RV group camp so it's not a big issue. They are basically buying an extra space to share, and will have a reserved area so they don't have to caravan in. But I expect some restriction on late arrivals due to traffic logistics once things get rolling--or a set up close to a direct entrance like Oak Ridge near ADA. Which would mean the group is not neat The Group.

My take aways of what I heard. 
Group camping. He shouldn't have been saying it(his words) but no head count.
Varied size RV spots.
No horse track stage.
Same food court location and return of Hamageddon.
GVF would be welcome but probably have other commitments.
Neil Young is in talks like every year.
More Jerry oriented music at the Forest this year.
No voting on Rockn to Lockn

Last year, the parking guys screwed up keeping my caravan of 3 together, relegating one of our group to an aisle over, so Dave had me sold on the group RV sites right up to the point that I saw the price tag.
Pay a ton extra so you don't have to caravan? Pass. We'll roll in together on Wednesday and hope that doesn't repeat...

It's nice to see them offer something for smaller campers like teardrops. The current Baby Bear pricing seems about $20 less than the standard GA RV pass last year. The Momma Bear sites are slightly smaller than the GA RV sites last year and are about $50 more. The Poppa Bear sites are slightly larger than GA RV last year and are about $200 more than last year but include early entry pass ($50 value). Even though I don't see the value of paying for group RV camping I'm sure that they will sell out. We had six sites together last year for same price. Just takes good planning. The Good news is that VIP RV sites this year went DOWN about $20. It's about time we saw some decrease in pricing. None of these different sizes sites or group camping are offered for VIP. The other good new from yesterday is that the payment plan is much improved and stretches your payments out until April.
Now bring on those announcements!

Baby RV spots are intended for small mobile units. Each space is 30′ x 20′ with a 15 AMP power hook up ($200 value).

Thanks, I really should learn how to read. worf rat I think your AC will run fine on 15 amp service or they wouldn't offer it. That will probably be the only thing you can run. For instance AC and microwave or water heater will likely kick the breakers. I would suggest having a surge protector that can monitor low voltage conditions.Baby RV spots are intended for small mobile units. When I plug in my tag at home I'm plugging it into a 15 amp outlet. I have no problem in running the air conditioning and the converter which also runs the cooler.
Now if I were to fire up the microwave I think I might I have a problem. When the air conditioning in our tags is running its pulling about 4-1/2 to 6 amps from what I've seen. Start up pull is close to 14 amps but it's less than a second or two. It's possible you might trip the breaker in the pedestal once or twice but I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you using at least a 12 gauge power cord.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of the baby sites because with my pickup truck and tag as I'm looking at about 33 to 34 ft total so I had to go with a mama site. If I was towing with something shorter I definitely would have purchased a baby site.

Most of the answer info on the a/c is already given. I'll add and second that varous info for those who might need more ideas and detail...I searched online for info and discussion regarding a/c before buying the baby campsite. There is a fair amount of info on RV websites, and it seems positive for running a/c on 15 AMP. I have also had the experience of being able to run the RV A/C from my house power. BUT, my breaker trips if I run a long extension cord, or a smaller extension cord, to feed the RV cord. As far as I know, 15 AMP supply means a regular wall outlet three pronged plug (like outlets in your house, with a grounded plug). So be sure to get the 15/20 AMP adapter end for your RV cord if you have a 30 AMP cord like most do. Any RV store has those adapters. I might even buy a backup to have at Lockn. I agree with the point that a/c startup will be close to the limit on 15 AMP power, but standard RV A/C should run fine on 15 AMP, and as said above, don't try the microwave and A/C and more all at the same time. Work out a plan ahead of time to use major appliances one at a time. Possibly place the fridge on gas or battery power.
They talk mostly trailers on the Lockn website right now for the baby RV site, but the baby site is perfect for 19 to 24' Class B RVs (RVs built on vans and Sprinters such as Road Trek, Pleasureway, Advanced RV, Sportsmobile, Winnebago Travato, etc). These are the wave of the future for RV touring, no towing needed, easy parking and good mileage. I'll be there with my 23 year old 19-foot Coachmen Class B on a Chevy van.

I could be wrong, but I assumed your unit had to fit in the site, not your unit and tow vehicle in line. Mine didnt fit previous years but unhooked and reparked, I fit.

That does not mean, nor imply that it has to stay attached at your site. It means it has to be attached to the RV as you check in such as in it does not drive in separately, hence the one motor one steering wheel comment.I've never seen a rule where you were told to remain hooked to your camper. This shows a companion vehicle that is not allowed in your spot.

Most receptacles are on a 20 amp breaker but common duplex are rated at 15 amps. I am allowed to run 13 duplex receptacles per circuit on a 20 amp breaker by code (NEC) as well as our local building dept. Unless I install duplexes that are rated at 20 amps, the math is simple but I will spare you. An outlet is any place a device can be installed, i.e. light switch, receptacles, timers, line voltage thermostats or even a simple junction. Most of the answer info on the a/c is already given.
