LOCKN 2019 Camping Options

Early entry. Still 50 plus fees.

Got my mama site and early entry order in on wednesday.

thelizard and I are set for ADA RV camping and early entry. Only 279 days until we're back on the farm.

Anyone else get the camping email today where they put the Twelve Tribes bus in the slideshow?!? Come to LOCKN, join a cult! (and not the good kind...)

No intel. I'm sure these areas will be determined on 8/21 and the walk will be about 19.5 minutes...

FYI, it appears Momma Bear GA RV has sold out - wondering if they will wind up releasing more or if that's it...

As far as the tents go, I think Forest Camping is the best.  The advantage of car camping is you have a large waterproof and relatively secure place to store stuff, right next to your tent.  (As long as you remember to lock your car...  Don't ask.)

In the forest area, your are perhaps 100-200 yards from you car.  But you are surrounded by trees and shade, and in the other camping areas the only shade is what you bring with you.  Also perhaps a little safer in a lightning storm.  I like the vibe better there, it seems there is more mixing and socializing there than in the other places.  (Me: 4 years in GA camping and the last 2 years in the forest.)

The Forest campsites are generally on more level ground.  It seems almost every GA camping site is on a slight slope.  

Either way you will have a great time.  The differences are not that great.

We car camp every year because of the groups we normally go with 6-8 people. We also bring fun things like grills and LED light up Flagpoles and enjoy showing them off in the middle of Greenfield or on the Highfield. For us it's just easier to get unpacked and set up having your car and gear right next to ya. If we were minimalists forest camping would be the way to go. Either way you're going to have a blast! Not as tall as yours........I was waiting for that one to come!! Least mine lit up with lights in middle of Greenfield!!! Some chick even brought me a breakfast burrito Saturday morning because of it! She said my pole was the beacon of hope that helped her find camp every night! Terrible wording right in front of my gf but the burrito was good!
