4848 Fest

Another comment before I forget, so many of the bands were just walking through and hanging out in the crowd. Everyone was so respectful of their space, and it seemed to be a good balance of selfies and letting them enjoy the music.

The idea of an onsite hotel room is somewhat appealing.

It WAS awesome. Didn't get a balcony view (room didn't even HAVE a balcony), but I could hear the music from both stages with my windows open. And the value was incredible..I got my three day ticket and a room for far less than I'm paying Lockn for the privilege of parking my RV in a field there. The lift rides were fun, and the pool was awesome. How many festivals have you been at that had a pool and hot tubs on site? And Flufhead was right about the crowd....I didn't see anyone excessively doing anything. I heard the campground down by the lake was the happening place to be! Any campers here on the forum that can weigh in on the camping?

I was poking around on Snowshoes room reservation system, looking at the second weekend in July 2020, which was the weekend of this years 4848. Guess what?  Zero rooms listed, but zillions of rooms listed for other weekends next summer.  Leads me to think that weekend is blacked out for 4848.

4848 sent out emails to condo holders a few weeks ago to see if they wanted to reserve their room, or list them, so I assumed it would be going down. Glad to see that it will most likely be the same weekend, that works really well for me. Also the weather was perfect. 

It was the best Fest. I cannot wait to go back. I have a feeling it is gonna sell out even quicker than last time, with the way people have been bragging about it.
