4848 Fest

That looks cool. But I spent my money on an RV, and they can't accommodate RVs...

GA tent camping is $255. You may have been looking at a room.

Hopefully Lockn's lineup comes out before next week when 4848 goes on sale. And hopefully I'll have a hard choice to make, but for me, picking one 'premium ' experience this summer....4848 has a much better value. And Greensky is a favorite.

Agreed. The lineup is killer, but I don't love expensive festivals at ski resorts.  I'm more of a "big empty field" kind of girl.

There are a lot of jam fests in the region this year.  But next year there won't be a Woodstock.  And truthfully I'd be surprised if this 4848 fest lasts past this year.

You're right. I misread. That makes this not such a terrible price.

Yeah, my concern is how packed the crowds will be. But lockn's VIP section has been shoulder to shoulder recently, too. At least w/ this vip package I'd have a room to go back to: eat & refill beverages (and whatever else) then deal w/ trying to rage close to stage.

I don't recall any one particular Peach incident.  I just don't enjoy the Live Nation festival experience. Camping is on a hill.  Getting your gear to tent camping can be an ordeal.  Everything is really expensive. It's impossible to see all of the music because the stages overlap (and require hiking up and down hills).  There are many good things about Peach. But I think I'm just too old to maneuver the ski resort.

Silver Creek RV Dry Camping Info



RV camping takes place at Silver Creek, a lodging area 2.5 miles from the 4848 Mountaintop Village Experience. See top left corner on the map below.

Complimentary Festival Express Shuttles will get you back and forth from the 4848 Village Experience and Shavers Lake.

You may use a companion vehicle (not RV) to get back and forth to the Mountaintop Village.

Each RV Camping spot will have a dedicated 30-amp hookup

RV spots will be on gravel and will be fairly level.

Everyone must have an individual RV Camping Ticket to camp in an RV at Silver Creek.

Every RV must have an RV Camping Parking Pass

Showers are not available for RV campers.

Snacks and essentials are available at the Wildcat Provisions and Deli at the top of the mountain.

No camp fires or open flames

Enclosed propane grills are allowed for cooking only.

Just about every room in the main area is sold out. Also looks like condo owners and other housing is opening up. I'd be really nervous right now, but I got a room that also has a balcony facing a stage, kitchenette, and pull out. At least if the crowds are insane, I'll be ok. Because my room is awesome, if any Lockn fam go and need a party space...just know you got one.
