Most places like that, VIP means a separate viewing and seating area with actual seats, a lounge, a separate bar, maybe some video monitors, not as crowded. If they sell VIP for each show, you can usually upgrade a GA to VIP, even at the door, up until it sells out (capacity for the area). At a recent sold-out Marcus King show the owner was trying to sell the VIP upgrade for $10 to the GA crowd during the show b/c GA was so crowded! Some places sell VIP for season tickets only; not likely the case here. You could take a chance and buy GA now, upgrade later. It's a long way off, though. I agree, just not sure where you could park at LOCKN as those lots probably will not open until the next day.I wouldn't think they would care who was on the bus, especially if there's a fee involved and I'd be a paying customer, but I certainly could just go straight to the venue. I'm just trying to ease parking congestion at the venue, and the bus sounds like more fun than going by myself!

Oh, I'll find a place. I'm good at that. I've overnighted at police stations, churches, hotel parking lots and even used car lots. And no one has ever bought the van while I was sleeping in it.

Paying more attention with the great discount code. Thanks! My problem is that I almost always work the morning of travel, and then sometimes get a late start. I could picture myself running after the bus as it is pulling out. Consider me standby, not confirmed yet.
Are folks thinking VIP, or GA?

) for this event. Seriously lol. I have been in touch with the company that provides shuttles from Lynchburg hotels to Lockn and back. Waiting to hear back from them to see what they can offer. I suggested a price point of $10 per person but I suspect it could be 20 or more, we'll see. I'll keep you guys posted...

When I put in the code it only gave me the option to get 1/2 off GA tix. I bought 2 and am happy with that. Considering I still need to pay for the shuttle bus I didn’t feel like forking over $100 + fees per person for VIP tix. I would like to know first what VIP includes. If you didn’t get your tix yet you may want to purchase them **soon** ... as in ASAP. When I entered the code to purchase the 1/2 off tix it said Presale GA On Sale-Ends in 2 days

This shuttle is sanctioned by Lockn/Mary Beth so yes I'm sure they will let us back into the campgrounds after the show. Did you get confirmation from Dave or Mary Beth that we’ll be able to re-enter the campground when the bus drops us off after the show? OK, looks like cost for the shuttle bus will be $29 per person. Can you imagine Trombone shorty playing with Audacity Brass Band or Preservation Hall!!!!!!!! If you don’t know Audacity they have gotten to the final stage of rockin to lockn in Richmond just recently.My friend Colleen is the trombone player and they are super fun 🤗🤗🤗🥰🤪🎷🎺🎯Dave Frey is launching a new music venue/brewery in Lynchburg at the City Auditorium.

On August 21 there will be a Lockn pre party featuring Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.
Some of us will already be on the farm for early entry so we may look into a shuttle to take us from the farm to Lynchburg and back for this show. If you are interested reach out to me and let me know.

He put on a good show at Lockn a few years back, too; I think that was the year with Preservation Hall.
He's really come up and is not cheap to book!
