Yeah, thanks for the heads up on this. I got my posters and cards yesterday. I wasn't sure I would be selected as I am in Florida and thought I might be too far away. I let them know I go to lots of shows around the state and know 3 "local" record store owners.

Can someone describe how the package looked (approx size and style) when the posters and cards arrived? I'm watching for mine, responded early to sign up and seemed that I was likely accepted. Was out of town for a number of days, but had someone at the house while away and checking the PO box as well. Still watching for the package. Thanks.

Oops, just found the 4/9 confirmation email in my junk folder.  So instead of deleting this message, I'll make the note for others, shipments have started, be patient while they get out and through the mail.  Instructions included in the email.  Looking forward to spreading the word!

I heard from April regarding the “LFF Street Team” and also the “miracle tickets” ambassadors.

First, on the ambassadors, our list of volunteers went via Mary Beth at Frey/Lockn’ to Shapiro’s operation, who is in charge of ticket give-aways. It’s now up to the Shapiro’s side as to tickets.

Meanwhile, Mary Beth also sent the packages of posters and rack cards to the people on that same list; several of us have received them.

Now, April is organizing the LFF Street Team which is handing out cards and hanging posters in return for a reserved spot in the designated camping area. The temporary disconnect is that those who gave their name to the list for giving out tickets at shows, are not on April’s “LFF street team” list for camping, unless they were contacted directly by April or added by someone already in the group.  

Therefore, to get on April’s list, send her an email, and also let her know whether you already have a poster/card package. Let her know if you are RV (and size) or car camping. She says they definitely have space still open for folks that want in the designated camping areas. She wants to make sure everyone that received a package has the option for the special camping spots, too. 

The designated camping areas are:

Car Camping in the first few rows behind the Main Entrance near the General Store, its the front of the Main Car Camping area (Green Field), and where Sneake/Lobster were last year.

RV is the small section of GA RV at the top of the hill where you enter the path to go down to the showfield..where the LOVE sign is (High Field?)

In regards to the documentation of hanging posters and rack cards, everyone needs to email photos to April: “If I do not receive any photos then they will not be on the final list for getting credentials to get in the spot.”

I'm gonna send her and email to see if I can still help. I don't really care about the camping option as I will want to camp with my friends anyways but I am all about helping my festival!

Have you heard anything about sending in our pictures or getting a pass?

I was surprised to find little interest at the craft breweries, but that is because of the stupid distributor laws, none of them can be at Lockn' except the one (O'Connor) who is with the distributor. I get a lot of bar staff taking them but "I have to ask my boss" before they go up. One record store owner--who sells metal/punk--was pretty nasty about it; others love it as well as music venues. Most businesses here (Norfolk area) are promoting so many local events that they don't have much room or interest. I try to sell them on the idea that displaying it increases their hip factor x 10.

Yeah I hung some more this past weekend but still have about half of them left. I'm gonna try to finish by 1st week of July. Anyone hang them in past years know when cut off is?
