Not sure why you would see that, nothing has changed in the setup. Anyway there is no need to be concerned about this site.

That just means that this site does not utilize HTTPS - so no encryption between your browser and this server. As the only thing going between this server and you that is not public already is your board password*, I would not lose too much sleep over it.

To do HTTPS this site would need a certificate - which is an expense, and even more importantly - a PITA to manage.

So - no biggie - but good eye for things that changed. Are you using Windows? Probably due to an automated browser update.

[EDIT]: Please note that if you use the same password for everything - it is potentially exposed - as it is in probably a hundred other places already if you use it elsewhere. Never do that. Sorry - years of computer security policy beaten into me... Makes me twitch if I didn't say it.

Not to rain on your parade, but if you have been an amazon customer for a while theyve been building a profile on you and your family for that entire time.

They already know who you are.

They know you have a daughter.

They will know the difference between her requests and yours on alexa.

It won't confuse them at all, it will help them build out your profile information even more.

I've been giving Amazon some "fake" data as well. I give them my real credit card info but I give them a fake address to ship the items to. All of my items still show as "delivered" but I don't have to worry about all of their boxes cluttering up my front stoop...

I just keep my credit score below 300 and that seems to be the best deterrent for me. I’ve only told one person where the olive barrels are buried.

Anything that is voice activated is always listening--and usually bored. But they can be triggered accidentally. I have one Alexa device which I use very little but have had her raise up by inadvertently invoking her name. I've heard of people with cameras in their TV's, such as for skyping, starting them up by accident.

Like having a Manchurian Candidate for a house guest.

Smart Speaker parasite

I saw this a few weeks ago. It sits on top of your amazon speaker and plays white noise until you wake it up, then it passes your commands through. It is an open-source project and as I read it, it has no internet access and is just a gate to the speaker, so it wouldn't have the capacity to record or send your info to anyone. Pretty cool. someone should make a phone case similar.

I disabled the 'Hey Siri' function as soon as I got my new phone. Is it still listening? Who knows, but it does not respond anymore.
