Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
Here is a fascinating but long article on that very topic--and why they work. There is also an interesting aside about malcebos, fake pills that seem to hurt you. www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/why-i-take-fake-pills-180962765/ Here, let me give you something for that eye problem. <hands Worf a tic-tac> Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.

We’re bringing these Drip Drop packets. Easier to pack, and you just mix with water. Supposed to be equivalent to a bag of IV fluid! Has definitely proven to be a hangover game changer.... dripdrop.com/products/dripdrop

Seriously, when I was running the grain parties in college (W&L late 70's), if things were getting slow, I'd dump in a few cans of powdered Gatorade into the trash can and it was like an IV; got that house jumpin'!

I'm hoping $2.20 at the post office will save me a big groan when I get home.

I have this though I don't always take it into shows: www.schooloutfitters.com/catalog/product_info/pfam_id/PFAM9796/products_id/PRO24922?sc_cid=Google_ALV-TS2&adtype=pla&kw=&CAWELAID=1238933246&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=13096015097&CATCI=pla-169617128177&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4IahyaP83AIVip6fCh0fVgnUEAQYAiABEgID-_D_BwE
I also bought a little mini backpack can cooler that's fabric and can fit about 5 beers in it and it doubles as a great temp poster tube to bring into shows:

I bought at "solar" bag camping shower at a yard sale* yesterday. The tube had kinks and once kinky won't go straight again. Some people are like that. So virtually no flow at all and shut-downs when moving it.
Solution: replace hose with braided high pressure hose from any hardware store about $1.00/ft. Can't kink. Some people are like that.

This camping fan- www.amazon.com/Coleman-Zephyr-Holder-Battery-Lock/dp/B019S6YS0Y/ref=sr_1_1?crid=9KGDWC4MTM0V&keywords=coleman+zephyr+cup+holder+fan&qid=1563818374&s=gateway&sprefix=Coleman%C2%AE+Zephyr+Cup+Holder+Fan%2Caps%2C228&sr=8-1
*Looks small and inefficient right? I would have never bought this had my mother in law not shown me how crucial it is to have. Its less than $20, quiet, and really cools down your tent allowing you to actually stay in your tent past 7 am and catch some extra Zzzs. Another pro: You can bring it into the stage grounds and use it to cool down during those crispy day sets
This insulated tumbler: www.amazon.com/YETI-Rambler-Stainless-Insulated-MagSlider/dp/B073WJX9ZV/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=yeti+tumbler&qid=1563818543&s=gateway&sr=8-3
*I know, its a $30 cup. BUT! It keeps your whatever you're drinking ice cold for hours. I use it for my coffee in the mornings, (keep the lid off or you wont get to drink your coffee for 3 hours til it cools down) I am also not into blowing up my credit cards with pricey concert beers- and thats exactly what i had to do before i purchased this because my beer would get hot in seconds so i had to practially chug it everytime i got one. This tumbler keeps my beer ice cold so that i can sip on IPA's and not be completely trashed by noon- and i'm really about pacing myself duirng the day so I can really get the full late night experience. Most of the beer tents at Lockn even allowed me to just hand them my cup to fill it to conserve disposable plastics- double win.
This water jug: www.amazon.com/Simple-Modern-Summit-Water-Bottle/dp/B01N94CXXF/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=stainless+steel+water+jug&qid=1563818860&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-3
*Please bring a reusable water jug- your number 1 priority is to stay hydrated- i've seen so many people carried out of pits from not drinking water. Fill this bad boy up and you're set for a long while. Also, if you see someone that needs water, please please please go get them some water, the heat is really no joke in VA.
This heavy duty festival blanket:: www.worldmarket.com/product/6-round-blue-and-magenta-medallion-cotton-festival-blanket.do?mrkgcl=660&mrkgadid=3216341659&camp=ppc%3AGoogle%3APLA%2BShopping_LIA%7CBestsellers%2BTextiles&product_id=551712&adpos=1o2&creative=204156340523&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvdXpBRCoARIsAMJSKqI8I2LALTEPJtadbYlT7EktV4Lq7rX49SMcBYQ7Pera1dHuVl7406MaArgUEALw_wcB
*I have this exact one- its a great blanket to lay down for your spot- its heavy so it doesn't bunch up as you're dancing- and it stands up to dirt and mud and anything you're up against in there. The lightweight standard tapestries make me crazy, and usually end up in sad messy pile after a few minutes. Not this one, it stays put.
This backpack: www.amazon.com/Clear-Sling-Packs-Stadium-Approved/dp/B07TS6KLQJ/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=see+through+backpack&qid=1563819676&s=gateway&sr=8-18
*In my experience last year, they really enforced the clear back pack rule pretty hard- i brought this one and it was perfect, light weight and held my sunscreen and sunglasses, cell phone and hoodie for when it gets cold at night. I have a small first aid kit i carry as well because i don't wanna deal with medical tents for a band aid. I threw a ton of stickers on mine- my friends put LED string lights in theirs, which was really fun at night.
These solar lights: www.amazon.com/Strings-Lighting-Waterproof-Outdoor-Decorations/dp/B07PX24WPX/ref=sr_1_41?keywords=solar+string+lights&qid=1563820267&s=gateway&sr=8-41
*So much fun to have these lights at your campsite at night- makes it easier to find your spot in my experience as well.
This back pack cooler isn't a "must"- but it comes in handy- www.amazon.com/Backpack-Insulated-backpack-coolers-Backpacking/dp/B07QB4YHY1/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=backpack+cooler&qid=1563819336&s=gateway&sr=8-6
*I camp with my husband and his family each year but my family and friends are always around- i like to load up beers and snacks to go venture over to their campsites and its a breeze with teh back pack cooler. You'll use it outside of festivals all the time, especially if you have kids. I think its worth the $30.
Can't believe its just 31 days away, i'm really excited to witness all the history to be made this year. Safe Travels everyone!
