My sentiments exactly. While I didn't see as much music as I would have liked, it left more time to spend talking with friends.

What food vendors were there? Just wondering if I need to pack a little more food than usual.

Stand was doing a Neapolitan pie. Not terrible. In weather news I see Lovingston looks to be blasted again with thunderstorms tonight. Yesterday was truly a gift   

It was a mother nature shit show for sure...

But from what I saw, all of our minutes of training kicked in and equipment and preparation prevailed and fun was wrested from the situation kicking and screaming.

OK, just finished rinsing the mud off the camper, which gave opportunity for reflection. I had a great weekend overall. I got to hang on the farm with my regular crew and we all successfully escaped to the carefree versions of ourselves for the weekend. I got to hit that reset button on my soul that is unique to this place and the people I share it with.

That being said, everyone's criticisms are legit, because we're used to a level at the full fest that has vending in 2 locals, food trucks in all the areas... so much more, I get it. But there wasn't nearly the crowd to support what we're used to. I was continually amazed at seeing a half-filled Green field. That was the biggest surprise to me, just HOW low attendance really was. 1300 sold was the rumor I heard but I'd guess only 60% of that showed.

Those of us that stayed through the rain for Floyd - 400 maaaaybe? were well rewarded. (BTW, that's me & Mrs. WJ in the foreground of the soundboard view of that video rocking the floppy hat & parasol... so nice to see how soaked my ass was, and I didn't realize how fucking boring a dancer I was that set.)

I am left wanting more... When you're used to piling in the Wed night before, this Monday morning sure came fast.

The gesture was nice, though they must be drastically undersold to pull that move. I am guessing they must have sold more than half of the RV spots for TTB and aren't willing to set up more power stations than what they laid out, thus the no-freebie there, though it'd be nice to make it even cheaper than the bundle price... but that's me being greedy. My crew may day-trip up for one of the TTB days, we'll see.

Was great to meet anew, and see some others again at the M&G, and an absolute chef's kiss to the fruity-pebbles treat maker.

If you're going in the next 2 weeks - if you don't expect the full fest, and soak in what you love about it, you'll be good.

I had the buffalo chicken platter which was actually really good. Pulled chicken in buffalo sauce over rice with cucumber and ranch sauce.

Its unfortunate that attendance was so low.  Delta and weather probably had a lot to do with that.  Phish hosting a 40k person destination weekend a couple hours north probably made a major impact too.  I remember Peach '17 was the weekend after the Baker's Dozen and there was barely anybody there.  Like it or not you really have to plan around the Phishes if you want to sell tickets.  Hope the next two weekends go better for Lockn, they should.
