LOCKN' Forum Meet & Greet #2 - Goose 8/20-22, 2021

How did that go?
Were they checking id vs the name on the ticket?
Any unexpected hassles?
I got Vinny's Goose Tix w/ his name on the Tix and mine on the car camping pass. No issues.

Also my notes from the weekend:
Car camping is first come first serve and if the 1st section gets full, the other is past the RVs up the hill. It's a hike.
They did a great job with logistics: trash and porties were relatively clean, some ran out of hand sanitizer, but the sinks next to 'em were stocked.
Food wasn't an issue but I brought enough for myself.
Crowd was easily manageable. A lot of folks left Sat AM, and I think out of those, quite a few weren't prepared and just bailed.
Security for me: one sealed bottle of water, one open and upside down thermos, lighter in hand, hands up, body scanned and a quick thank you. If there's a line, it moves pretty quickly.
No shade but ya'll know that.
Cory, Dawes, Grateful Shred and Goose were amazing. I was underwhelmed with the rest, and a little disappointed in Dr. Dog.
Only a few masked up. I railed for as long as I could with a mask, and then moved back a little to have enough space.
Was nice to be back on the Farm, though. If I have to nitpick (and I do), Vinny's ticket made my weekend. If I had paid full price, I'd be a little pissed since it was a hike for me with my only recourse being a inflated VIP ticket for proximity and only a few sets of stellar stuff. I just don't see the value for a full priced ticket/camping/supplies. Though Goose alone certainly made the ride worth taking. Holy jeebus.
edit: and of course Ankles, Bob, Dr.Brown, (and who was the new one I met?) made it all the more special.
Counting down the days to Rooster!!

Work obligations prevent me but I fully expect a proper fam throwdown in Oct. Not that far away. I hear you're a beast now. Might be hot but SHB worth seeing.

Sorry for the late reply... I used my JRAD tickets for the Goose weekend. They didn't check my ID. In fact both weekends my tix didn't scan and I just showed them the email that said I bought 2 tix. I would never do it, but if someone fabricated an email they could have gotten in no problem. They said they had issues with a lot of tickets not scanning both weekends. No hassles at all. They didn't even look at what camping pass I bought... Just asked and obliged.
Unrelated, but I went with Jason and another friend to Elements this past weekend (mostly EDM) in NE PA by the NY border. After the hurricane remnants went through 2 days earlier the parking areas and subsequent shuttling to the venue were both nightmares. Once we were in, however, it was great. They didn't even scan tickets there either... Just glanced at them. And security was nonexistent. None of the rules listed on the website were enforced at all. It was basically a lawless commune with a TON of music (4 official stages, 2 indoor raves, and several renegade stages) that went til sunrise each night/morning... and a TON of art. I'm not complaining!

I was the new one you met!
My favorite sets were Grateful Shred's late night set in Garcia's Forest (soooo goooood), Goose night 2 (both sets), Elephant Proof's late night set in Garcia's Forest, the Black Sabbath set by Dawes, and eGoostic Trio.
I'd love to see JRAD & Grateful Shred team up sometime for a whole evening (after rehearsing, of course). My idea is JRAD instrumentation + GS vocals - 2 sets & then GS featuring Marco on keys & Joe Russo on drums - 2 sets.
It was nice running into you so much, looseankles (Christa)! You must love dancing and rocking out as much as I do!
