LOCKN' Forum Meet & Greet #2 - Goose 8/20-22, 2021

this will be a great weekend if nothing else due to the number of bands--almost like a festival and not a concert....

This was the weekend I was most excited about but by the time that REDACTED piece of REDACTED finally gave our money back and released the dates I was already committed volunteering somewhere else. Wish I could be there. VinnieTheEel I will message you some tips on how to best annoy Just Bob.

We will be there as long as the weather forecast isn't like last weekend (the Mrs. does not want to celebrate her promotion in the rain and mud for 3 days!).

I'd say - Def bring more food.  Bring some extra tarps/taps.   You're no more than 5 mins from the field last weekend, so if we double...10 min walk at most?

I had VIP for the JRAD weekend. 

Because some of the JRAD shows ended up being during the day the poor weather actually increased the value of VIP for me. We used the lounge pretty frequently.

The lounge is only open when the showfield is open. For the goose weekend it looks like there is day music, so this may not be an issue.

And I never stepped foot inside the front stage VIP area, JRAD crowd was so light you could easily wander up to a much better spot without VIP.

Vinnie- Sorry to hear that you and the Mrs are not going to Goose this weekend. I was looking forward to meeting her. No need for us to pack your chair and bring it to the farm if you are not going to be there. We will keep your stuff and get it back to you eventually.

Are you up in Maryland? Slypknot will be in Manassas today for Dead and Co and he lives near Annapolis. Maybe he could take your stuff and you guys could meet up in MD somewhere at a later date. 

No problem.  I shed gear like ticks - ask newbn how many times he has returned my water bottle to me.  (And he has not dosed it even once...)

Very kind of you. Watching the weather and iffy at best. South Hill Banks playing near by so may do that instead. Get rid of em but if you still have by Fri I may reach out. You rock!

I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, I had some medical issues pop up on Monday (nothing contagious/covid/lockn jrad attendance related)

If it clears up this week I'll go goose, if it clears up next week I'll go to TTB, if it lingers I'll probably miss both.

We got through the gate at 9:45. A little more thorough search this time but nothing major. Set up in roughly the same spot as last weekend. We hit some rain coming down but set up our tent and canopy under partly sunny skies. Bob walked around and noticed maybe one or two more food vendors but the same set up as last weekend.

Saw a packed car on the highway this morning on the way to work. The license plate read GOOSE. First time I got a touch of fomo about the august dates for some reason.

I've been living vicariously through the forum for the last few weeks. Aug 27th cannot get here soon enough!
