From Stoplight in Floyd, VA
Take Highway 221 South (4 miles) to Canning Factory Road, turn Left
Canning Factory Road (.1 mile) to Black Ridge Road, turn Right
Black Ridge Road (7 miles) to Blue Ridge Parkway, go straight over the Parkway onto Rock Church Road
Rock Church Road (1.5 miles) to Willis Road, turn Left
Willis Road (.2 mile) to Belcher Mountain Road, turn Left
Belcher Mountain Road take (immediate) Right onto Helms Road
Lots will be on the Right (.6 mile) You will avoid the Parkway and it's closure.
It’s actually quicker to take 81 south from Roanoke to exit 114 Rt 8 which goes directly to downtown Floyd. It’s especially good if you are leaving cville and points west. Turn right at above stoplight in Floyd and follow above directions.
There is a food Lion and an independent grocery at the south end of Floyd, both trailer friendly, for those last minute munchies.
Between Riner and Floyd on Rt 8 there is a Mennonite bakery/deli with excellent sandwiches. Easy in and out with a trailer. The Bread Basket. Kind folks.
BTW, if you do go down 221, you will pass thru a little hamlet called Check a few miles north of the town of Floyd. Next years new permanent site of Floydfest is just east of Check.
