i really liked this idea that the wanee folks have come up with. i was toying with the idea of trying to do something like that for lockn, but i never really got the motivation, and my photoshop skills are above average, but certainly not spectacular. maybe next year we can do something like that. i agree that it would certainly make the meet and greet much easier, and honestly would probably go off more smoothlyI LOVE name tags! I generally don't have MY name on my name tag but I'll have someones name on it.
As the Wanee people know, there is a really kind person that every year makes a template, including Wanee appropriate artwork, that you can customize with your name, print it and get it laminated.* The meet and greet is a lot more simple when everyone is wearing a laminate with their name on it. They look good enough that people have gained more access then they probably should have.
*I love run on sentences as well.

I am pro Nametag. Even if we don't have anyone up for making them in advance, I'll make sure to bring blanks and sharpies.
I'm also starting to think that we should gang up and establish a fortress inside the venue itself. We could hold down a nice plot of land in that field.
