I stopped by the football tent last year. Totally different experience from drunkendave. It was pretty chill in there with folding chairs available. I recall that there were only a couple nfl games on and it was not very crowded. they werent serving anything inside but you could definitely hear the music. very easy to pop in/out of. I am fan of nfl, in three fantasy football leagues and skins season ticket holder. I was pretty pumped to have this available as an amenity. that said, thirty seconds in i realized i did not have the attention span for either sitting in a folding chair or focusing on a tv, so back to stomping barefoot in the grass i went.

why did you have to tell me that? don't really care much about sports in general, but i am onboard the seahawks train. now before you shout BANDWAGON, i was born in Wa, my parents were season ticket holders, and the first game that i actually remember going to, i was 3. god damn was last superbowl sweet for my family and me. GO HAWKS!!

One thing I was wondering about their promoting off-campus activities like tubing, is (1) why pay all that money and leave the scene, and
(2) the restrictions on in/out don't make that very feasible for many people.

What I don't understand is how this argument got started again after you all shouted down sneake back in July.

i love frolf. so many good memories. tons of courses in the richmond area. i need to get back into frolf...

cool that theres a football tent to check out the games. I might peek in for a sec. I think the renting bikes idea is pretty cool. I might do that thursday after set up so i can check out the fest grounds and meet other campers.

Bocce ball, or Twister, will be fun, before the music starts or during the "pass" bands when you can still hear them but get to do
something else away from the horde.

I like putt putt too but only if it's full contact.
Or a good game of Marco Polo in the shower tent.

I may have some giant bubbles going too.

NY Giants open the season on Monday night (after I am home). The music AND football gods are smiling downn on me all weekend and into Monday.

Last year the SC and UGA game was on Saturday.  Thats a big game for those teams.  It was pretty cool to catch some of the game in the tent.  Lots of Fans in there and "friendly" rivalry was fun too!  Thankfully this year SC has an out of conference game that weekend so I will be catching all the music!

I'm a little torn myself. I'm a Colts fan, season ticket holder. They play their old QB Manning (Denver) Sunday night. But with ABB playing I thing I'm more of a music lover, can't miss. I'm just glad it's a out of town game so I don't miss a home game witch I would have missed for Lockn'.

i'm sorry, i thought i was free to express my opinion. if i made someone feel bad for the choices they're going to make, then i apologize. seemed like a pretty normal, civilized debate. i don't take offense at others watching tv at a festival (though i find it bizarre and wasteful) and i hope others dont get offended by me having zero interest. i'm totally with you in that everyone should do what makes them happy, and i think i actually said that same thing earlier, but don't tell me i shouldn't say what a silly idea i think it is. i understand your point of view, and if at some point others take offense to what i say, then i'll stop, but i highly encourage the free flow of ideas, especially if they are contradictory. always good to see different opinions on a topic
