The official website just added a new section named Attractions. It lists and has links to all of the food vendors and craft vendors. I'm pretty impressed with the extensive list of food vendors. Yay for progress

I was definitely disappointed and surprised they didn't get accepted. they are great people. but I'm glad they get a vacation! Also I know they left off at least one vendor.... morning dew tie dyes

Pretty Cool... I saw that Church on the leaked Map and was wondering whether they were going to do a Sunday service, and now i see there's one each morning at 9:30. Adding it as one thing to do on my list.
Kinda liking the Football Tent thing too...

Yeah, excited to see them there too.
I think the vendors they have listed are just main stage vendors.

We spent a few days tubing a few weeks ago. Used a company out of Scottseville, about 25 miles away. Had a great time.

Last year, under the blazing sun of Roo, I "showered" out of a cooking pot with dish soap. That's about as close as I figure I'll get to a shower this fest. I'm certainly not trying to impress anyone, lol

Did anyone care to or have the time to swing by the sports tent last year to check out any football? What was it like? Crowded? Decent selection of games on?
I'm a VT alumna living with a Buckeye/Fantasy Football nut job, and while I anticipate OSU putting a pretty decent beat down on us Hokies, I'd still like to see a bit of the game if possible. Looking at the schedule though it does seem like the game will be happening while Phil and Friends and Winwood and WSP are playing Saturday night, so that will certainly trump watching a blow out.
Sunday's a whole different story - this man lives and breathes fantasy football. I imagine he won't leave the that tent until Widespread Panic plays (except to maybe catch a bit of Willie) since he's not a fan(or more accurately a very vocal hater) of SOJA, Grace (except to look at her), and Wilco.

honestly, it makes me sad that they even have a tent with a tv in it. i understand that some people are really into sports, but i go to a festival to escape from the rest of the world. at a fest, the only things that matter are friends, food, and music.

No need to be sad, just don't go in there! I also really enjoy those things AND football. I find the fact that I will be able to enjoy all those things simultaneously pretty damn awesome. I like playing disc golf too and intend to play a few rounds while there. I hope that doesn't make you sad!

I've been going to festivals for 3 decades now and out of all the advancements at festivals TV'S not showing things going on at the festival is something I've always found disturbing. In my opinion it's all due to the cell phone. Your saying "WTF is he talking about" well I'll tell you the cell phone from the beginning brought the outside world to you no matter where that is. Now it's to the point that we've made a bill paying game out of NOT looking at your phone.

Being a season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts I knew full well I could miss the first home game since they opened Lucas stadium, but the music came first. They are playing in Denver so I might duck in to see the score but will probably get into the music & forget. It's a late game so I know I'm not going to miss any ABB.

Lockn weekend will be the one Penn State football game I will miss. Absolutely worth it. But glad it's before conference play starts. It's a throw-off game I'll be missing.

I have friends(yes I do have friends that are real)that claim that we(as a tribe)are nuts for spending what we spend for a festival weekend yet they will spend half on a single game where they're in nose bleed section of the stadium.

So um, did anyone check it out last year? If it sucked, I obviously need to make friends with someone in the RV section with direcTV and the Sunday Ticket. Just trying to figure out my plan of attack here.

I didn't visit the tent last year but I did find this on another site as #4 of the top 5 reasons why Lockn rocked besides the music.
4. Sports Fix for the Football Fiends
It gets hot on a sunny afternoon, so what better to do than watch the opening weekend of NFL in the shade while listening to live music. You thought you would miss all the action of NFL kickoff weekend while you were roaming through the woods, didn’t ya? You thought wrong!
Dish Network set up a tent to keep people out of the sun and up to date on the football games all weekend. The Dish tent had multiple flat screens playing NCAAF on Saturday and NFL on Sunday. It was right next to the main stage too, so you could watch football and hear the main stage all at the same time. Widespread Panic fans and NFL fans seem to blend together quite well and the tent was packed out on Sunday.

I popped in the NFL tent last year and it was terrible. There was maybe 3 tv's and everyone had to sit down on the grass or you'd get bounced. It was stuffy and didn't sell beer.
My Washington Redskins will be on @ 1pm so get it together Lockn. Pipe in the music loud as shit with NFL ticket on a bunch of tv's, sell beer and peanuts and we'll be good.
After that I will be hollerin for Willie and waiting for Gregg to sing me back home.
