A typical summer afternoon thunderstorm is fine a hurricane would be a major issue.

The current dewpoint in the Arrington area (Lynchburg airport) is 70. That's pretty uncomfortable but likely not anything you aren't used to there.

I can'tt find a dew point forecast that far out but I will keep looking. They just say humid.

When I grew up cutoffs were all we had. You didn't go to the store to "buy" a pair of shorts. You wore your Levis until you had huge holes in the knees and then cut off the legs. Guess I am dating myself but no worries. Oh I looked and I do own a pair of jorts, but I don't wear them. Much prefer cargo shorts these days. That's enough sharing for one day.

Anything over 20 (celsius) is hot to me! Upper 20s is sauna-like. I live in Victoria which has a very temperate climate and/or generally pervasive cool ocean breeze... Looking forward to the crazy east-coast humidity however!

oh all right. will bring the emergency rain poncho to share.... accuweather says that the Sunday T-Storm should result in no more than .17 inches of rain, 60% chance of precipitation....being from the northwest, i don't bother w/ rain gear for that type of forecast...
