Taking in backpacks & water

I couldn't imagine them not letting you take backpacks in, of course they will probably be subject to search. The water however is a good question because only till recently I know Bonnaroo made you dump out water and refill at the water stations inside Centeroo. This makes me wonder if the farm has plumbing or not, where will we be getting our water from?

I had previously sent them an email asking about bring camelbaks into the stage area. I didn't get any answer, going to bring it anyways, if they make me dump it i just won't bring it back the next 3 nights. But I think it's going to be great to have some water for such long shows.

Backpacks should be fine, but I can't say for sure.

I also sent an email inquiring about water, but never got a response (surprise). If you take the FAQ literally, we cannot bring water into the venue, but I find this hard to believe.

At Bonnaroo you're allowed to bring water into Centeroo as long as the bottles are factory sealed.

I think they are providing potable water for free.  It's a liability issue these days.  Plus there is a significant reduction in some waste related costs associated with bottles due to the encouraged use of "kanteens" or reusable container.  I'm sure it won't be ice cold though that'll cost you.

I can understand where your concerns are coming from but this isn't the 60's. They might make you dump a camelbak or go through your pack but they HAVE to allow access to drinking water!!

My friend at Kleen Kanteen told me they are setting up 4 free filtered water stations.

but will the water be ice cold! I bet that is something you pay for.

Whats up Lockn crew! Klean Kanteen here and just want to confirm that we'll be onsite this year with four water refill stations providing FREE filtered water. No matter the bottle or backpack type, you can refill at our stations, as much as you want, for FREE. In regards to the number of stations, while we'd love to have more then four stations at Lockn, all of our other stations are locked up at other events across the country! We are more then thrilled to help reduce single-use waste @ Lockn this year!

So if this is true, does that mean there will not be water available anywhere near the car camping spots? Should we plan to bring in all the water we'll need for the weekend with us? I have to imagine at least two of the four stations are in the main venue area. Can you shed a little light on where water might be obtainable?

I would plan on bringing in all the water you need. I dont remember seeing any filling stations in the campgrounds at Bonnaroo the years I went.
