Pretty much. I thought the fireworks were awesome but had no idea what time it was. I met so many cool people and the vibe there was amazing. Even when the water and shit lines got long people were generally happy even to the point of warning about the conditions of various shitters in jovial terms. That was bar none the best organized festival i have ever attended. It is a really long way to go for me and I will buy my tickets the second they are on sale.
It would be cool to connect with someone who has a tent and gear and I would pay camping and parking and will probably start a thread like that in a couple of months. I also saw the tents with beds but I think they are over priced. Anyone know about them?

Well, to be fair, estprofinhumboldt is in a slightly different boat. He's flying in from Northern California, so bringing a lot of gear is difficult/expensive.

If, for any reason, Sue is not able to attend, I'm more than willing to have him for a tent-mate.

did anyone notice at grateful grass on Friday the a hole who hung a suspended tent? it was probably 6-8 feet off the ground and just about right in front of the sound board. they blocked sooooooo many peoples views. these jerks also had the audacity to hang blankets as to block more peoples view. they also hung 3 hammocks to block off traffic around them. couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was off to the side but I felt like cutting that down but luckily security made them take the blankets down. the rudest thing I saw all weekend

ya know what, there are smokers at concerts, I am one of them BUT i cut WAAAAY down when I am in the crowd, to be considerate. If somebody had a problem and asked me about it I would of moved away and smoked my cig then came back..that simple, my presence should never impede someone's good time..The talking, I heard a lot of it but then again its expected..its a cool festival with not a lot of down time between acts and such, so you meet people and chat for a bit, I like socializing and didn't do a lot but I don't mind others chatting so long as its not for all of the show....Chairs. I took one down on sunday. because at 49. I just cant do four days of partying and jamming and dancing because at the end of each night my feet were killing me..So finally on sunday I brought a chair, me and my three friends did so...and we set up in the back past the delay speaks, almost even with that piece of art type thing. almost dead center..that seemed like a chair area and quite frankly I was grateful that I could do that on the last night...I wouldn't of made it through all of ABB without it...I didn't use it all the time because I was dancing and or going to pee...I do not think that I bothered anyone with the chair...there was a time back when Jerry and Brent were still alive and jamming that I did not need or ever want a chair...today is different, especially after 3 days of dancing biking, drinking, walking or just standing...its hard on my feet...I am an easy going guy, I do not bitch at people during a show, I try not to ruin theirs either...I want everyone to have a good time and that includes myself as well.....I am ready for 2015....chair, will be upgraded...lol...I will be done smoking cigs by that time, and I will as always be considerate to others....

there was a hammock in the way at tedeschi-trucks, first time I'd been to that stage and it was dark; didn't know I was in "forest camping."  Next day I walked through there.  Seemed to be a lot more "attitude" up in there, self-absorbed people impressed with themselves and their coccoons.  Just my impression.

I had absolutely no issues with any of the shows at Triangle except for some talking during TTB (which was annoying but not putting up hammocks annoying.

I was towards the front at all the shows and got to them pretty early.

Yes, I agree there should not be hammocks or camping in the stage area.

For what it is worth the T-T set was significantly more crowded than any of the other shows that I went to at Triangle.  I went to all 3 morning shows (and of course dark was not an issue there.  Crowded was not really an issue either, I was up front and had room to dance.  I was at Taj and there was not a lot of crowding.  Sadly I missed Hot Tuna, so I can't speak to if it was crowded or too dark or anything.  

There were, unfortunately, some recurrent sound issues with getting the mix right at almost all the triangle shows.  I am not sure if that was just due to the nature of the venue, whether the "A" level sound guys were at the main stage, or what.

Triangle stage I found was overcrowded, not sure if that is a good thing or not. I got there super early for TT so was up front and that was nice. It is a statement that it was overcrowded due to the quality acts that played. RElix stage maybe should be the stage for all late night, 15 minute break between two bands wouldn't be bad.

I was looking forward to acoustic TTB more than any set. Left halfway through because of the talking/shouting. It bothered me a little during other sets,but this was an acoustic set dagnabbit! And I hiked my tired ass a long way to hear it. The one recording I've heard just makes me even more angry with all of the talking. I wonder how the band felt.

Saw DMB this year when they did an entire acoustic set. You can guess how that went.

That being said, 95% of the people at the fest were super cool

Some people do not go to shows/fests with music as their first priority. That's fine but feel free to hang in the way back.

No amount of signs/banners/t-shirts will change things.

Other fests have a clearly marked line that no chairs are allowed beyond.

We had a sportbrella pop-up shade that I didnt use for the first 3 days cuz I didnt wanna be "that guy". By Sunday I was heat-stroked out. We set it up WAY back. Out of walkway.Against a tent so nobody was behind us. And took it down as soon as the sun went down.

Of course not. It'd make me feel better, though.
