read the many posts on this--the searches are perfunctory and they are looking for such excess that it appears you are selling. Just be discreet, and friendly at the gate.

Yes, I'm pretty sure they are serving beer at the BRB, but I can't currently find it on the info page.

None of us really know how that would work, as they haven't done it before. Well, they have for one-off shows, but not for Lockn.  I'm sure they will comply with whatever the appropriate liscensing regulations are.

I have to think they are still allowing beer, there is not really a secure entry checkpoint to BRB and they couldn't really set up a search there anyway.

I went ahead and did it..... Got some glass..... Stashed well.....

Girlfriend required some Meads, and champagne.... And I required Tobasco sauce for..... Pretty much everything.


Since I was breaking the rules I went all out and grabbed a bottle of Black Tuesday from a couple years back, and a 2014 Chocolate Rain. God help my hangover.

It will likely be somewhere in the middle of these, closer to open the door and let us look inside. Be friendly and cooperative and you will have nothing to worry about.

Well, it might be slightly more than 1/6 keg - three tap custom kegerator. But we are DEFINITELY not selling and we have four people. The 1/6 kegs are 5 gallons. I don't mind them opening the door and even stepping in, but going through bags and cabinets seems a bit intrusive.

I understand the no kegs thing, but this is 1/6 of a barrel, so 1/3 of a normal keg. (5 gallons). If the kegerator is not in the open, do you foresee much trouble with a search? It is just a way to carbonate and cool our beer. As I said there are four of us, so it would break down to less than a case each - which is not a tone of beer for 4 1/2 days.

I used to brew so I am well acquainted with 5 gal kegs and kegerators. Nothing is prohibited until they find it. Bury that rascal deep and hope for the best. We have been part of the never really got searched hard crowd. But we also follow the canoeing guidelines. If you can't afford to lose it, don't take it. Good luck and most likely you will be just fine.

So, I know I am beating a dead horse, but I am not wanting to lose my craft brewed beer or personal kegerator (and it was made for me for LockN). 2 five gallon kegs between 4 people comes down to 320 ounces each which is less than the number of ounces in a 16 oz bottles case. So, by their calculations we should be okay. Nobody will be allowed to purchase it from us as this was a labor of LockN love brewing this beer. Does this sound like I am grasping at straws?

Kegs are on the list of prohibited items. If they find it they will keep it. Doesn't matter how big, for how many people or how much you like it. i would have a plan B if I were you...
